Think Scunthorpe have looked reasonably decent in the games I’ve watched so far this season, Josh Morris looks particularly dangerous and Adams has already been saying that he’s going to be trying to prevent supply to him as much as poss, and I’d suggest Scunthorpes manager is probably thinking up similar plans to try to deal with Carey.
If you end up not winning don’t be surprised to have your manager, players and fans all saying after the match how much you dominated the game and should’ve won by a large margin because this seems to be a pretty consistent theme following all of the games we’ve played so far this season, but the people saying this just haven’t yet worked out that Derek Adams is more than happy even at home to surrender possession and let the opposition dominate in areas that aren’t hurting us, in fact he invites teams onto us so that we can counter and this is proving even more effective in league 1 than it was in league 2 so far because teams used to just park the bus and make it hard to break them down
Jamie Ness is just about coming back to fitness and came in for about 3 seconds at the end of our previous match (yes literally just for a goal kick before the ref blew the whistle) so he may be involved in some way against his old club.
Argyle 1 - 1 Scunthorpe
