World class or not? I ask this because I still think he's under-rated by many and I've often heard people say that although he's very good, he's not on the same level as Aguero, Lewandowski and Benzema etc.
I always find this notion quite staggering considering his record. Let's not forget that his record that compares to the players mentioned is also while playing for Spurs, a side that although at times over the years have been an excellent side, aren't at the same level as Bayern, Madrid or Man City.
One thing I've always thought isn't as appreciated as much as it should be is his passing. Some of the balls he plays at times for a big, physical striker are almost Pirlo-esque. I can only think he doesn't get all the credit he deserves from some quarters because of his speech impediment and the fact that he's not flashy, and is very much a family man you never really read about in the tabloids other than we he does in the pitch.
