A case of 'by how many' me thinks.

It's looking likely that we will only have 1 first choice defender available, so our backline will be once again made up of teenagers or players out of position.

Our only hope in this game is that you get a player sent off early on and so play for a 0-0 draw, which you would get with ease.

Expecting Jones to wrongly start with a 4-4-2 formation. We'll be 2-0 down by the time he realises his mistake and goes 4-3-3. We'll put up a bit of a fight, but never really create any chances, and the game will fizzle out to a 2-0 defeat.

On paper we should win, but the game is not played on paper. Did you see the results on Tuesday? If Bradley is out our back line is shaky. Depends which team turns up last Saturday's, Tuesday or maybe a completely new iteration?

Did Tyler Harvey sign for you, I noted that he was on trial recently but did not see the outcome?

I notice that Podge hasn't started your last couple of games. Has he been struggling as although not that regularly, I see he's been scoring the odd few goals for you.

Yes I did, we lost 3-0! Not reading much into your result to be honest. You've won 10 of your 14 away games, that says it all to me.

There was a Pools fan on one of our boards at your game on Tuesday - he said you were good going forward but did say that your defence was shaky. Hopefully we've done a bit of scouting for once and go all guns blazing at your defence.

I don't recognise the name to be honest, we've had quite a lot of players on trial recently. He didn't sign, anyway.

No, our manager just thinks it's a good idea to put our top scorer on the bench, and play one of the kids from Plymouth/Sunderland upfront instead. Another of the many many mistakes Jones has made in his 4 games.

Just checked - Tyler Harvey signed for Truro City.

Also just realised that Rooney won't be allowed to play on Saturday, so hopefully Jones will have no choice but to start Podge.

.
He scored two of the goals against you last year, and Rooney who you have on loan also scored two. There was therefore some symmetry at him being on trial with you.

Yes without Bradley our defense, in particular our two CBs, is shaky. He might bring Songo back to CM to steady the ship. Watch out for Kennedy our on loan from Cardiff winger. The two games I have seen him is not necessarily representative, but he looks too good for us.

Oh dear, I thought that your boys were going to be right up there when you turned us over at BP a few months ago.

You and Podge played superbly that day and were worthy winners. Seems to have all gone sour since then though.

Oh yes I do recall that now - can't be great if he's gone to Truro?

Hopefully your defence has a bad day, as I fear another tonking! Kennedy sounds a good player, one of our full backs is very poor, and the other is 17, so he will have a delightful time.

So did we mate. Unfortunately we had some big injuries after that, namely Thomas and now Carson. We've shipped out some first teamers, and appointed a manager who appears clueless so far. In turn, for some reason the likes of Podge and Alessandra have been thrown on the bench despite being out top scorer and top assisst maker respectively. All to accommodate some loaned youth team players from other teams.

Tyler has had lots of trials including with Newcastle and I think Sunderland. Some people here saw him as the future, but I suspect he is a decent conference player. I think Rooney is better.

Kennedy plays on the left wing but he comes in a lot. He is not especially quick but has demostrated an ability to move off the ball to create space and has very good control. Scored a cracker on Tuesday, don't know what his crossing is like.

Plymouth at evens tomorrow is a license to print money.

I'd say 6 of our starters tomorrow will be under 21, including a 17 year old.

Lump on.

I have full faith in Hartlepool to outplay and outclass Plymouth and get a comfortable 3-0 victory. :)

FT: Hartlepool 1-1 Argyle

Things tightening up at the top but once again failed to take advantage of Doncasters slump

15 minutes in and I thought we were on for a paggering, Plymouth well on top and had a few chances but seemed to fall to pieces after that, despite plenty of the ball in the second half Plymouth didn't do much with it and resorted to hoiking the ball up route one, fantastic goal from Kennedy like, 25 yard curler.

First time in a while coming away from Pools happy after having watched a great performance, battled hard and got stuck in, if they play like this, certainly at home, we won't go down.

Gutsy display for once and good backing from the support. Our youngsters fully deserved a draw out of it.

Brad Walker at centre half might have potential.

Based on the radio commentary and what you wrote, if we continue to play like that we won't go up. Still results went our way so my outlook is not yet hello gregory like

Brad was comfortably the MOM, perhaps this will be the making of him, would like to see our subs made more proactively, Thomas and Oates were knackered towards the end.

Jervis looked like a real handful and was giving our young fullback a bit of a run around, was glad when he got hooked, not sure how that Taylor fella managed to stay on for the full 90 didn't seem at the races at all.

Well that was a suprise, the players might have realised at last that if you play with a bit of spirit you can get a result.
Apart from the first 10 minutes we more than matched Plymuff & took a worldy to get level.
Mind I've never seen a bunch of players go down so easy for free kicks, even the ref started ignoring them after a while

Hartlepool are BACK!

Well done and thanks.

By the way how is Nathan Thomas the best winger in the league doing for you? I have not heard him mentioned for a while.
