We're actually beginning to make a fight of it now with 4 points from auto-promotion hopefuls Lincoln and FGR.
We have just had a great transfer window which gives us hope.
Big ask but stranger things have happened.
Please stay in that league and let 2 of the serial tinpotters (Morecambe, Yeovil, Macclesfield) come down to where they belong.

Well that's the plan, but you know football and all that!

My money is on Yeovil and Morecambe to drop. We aren't out of danger yet ourselves though.

Don't give up yet Brother.

I'm looking at the table and positively salivating at the sight of Crawley, Yeovil, Cheltenham, Morecambe and Macclesfield all down near the bottom.

Like I said ages ago and was rebuked. What goes up almost certainly comes back down again.

Tough to call this because Morecambe always just survive, but I can’t see either of the current bottom 2 going down either, Notts will survive with the players they’ve bought in and also just got back from injury and Macc were really impressive against us and will also survive I reckon. Yeovil were awful against us on Saturday, we could easily have had 7 or 8 and were pants away usually.

Look at current top three in the table. An ex EFL club, a true non league club there on merit, and a bankrolled club in third. That's pretty representative of his league.

I think it's correct that there are very few part time players any more. Not convinced being semi pro is that big a disadvantage as the pro clubs are all fishing in a very limited pond.

I think you'll find that Solihull are bank-rolled too.

After the transfers made in the January window, I can't see Notts County going down, and from what I've seen of Macclesfield they won't be going down either. Two of Yeovil, Morecombe, and Port Vale for me, I'm leaning more towards the first two but if performances continue to deteriorate at Vale under Askey they'll be right there.

Hi everyone, Yeovil fan checking out what it's like here before next season. We're definitely down so i'm just getting myself prepared.

Port Vale are trying their best, too.

Out of the bottom 5, only Notts, Macc and Morecambe seem to want to stay up at the minute.

As an historical tinpotter you should know what it’s like.

After Saturday our next four games are:

Morecambe H
Lincoln A
Port Vale A
Macclesfield H

So we can't say it isn't in our own hands to get out of this mess (apart from your lot obviously!)

It's been 16 years

If you would be so kind as to remind Morecambe of their historical status too and have them pack their bags in anticipation that would be ideal.

Could be quite the end of season for the Brotherhood, two brothers in Orient and Wrexham replacing two tinpotters.

So this is what we've got to look forward to

The only reason we weren't in the league 30 years earlier was because of the closed shop of Chairmen who kept voting against our election for no good reason. I wonder which club had to apply for re-election more than any other? :pond:

If you've been in the league 16 years and you couldn't get in for 30 years then we haven't actually denied you a place at all.

Hartlepool have probably got more successful applications for re-election to the league than anyone, although we aren't far behind.

That's what Proper clubs who add value to the league should expect. ;)

Just the four times in the 60s & 70s you got re-elected partly at our expense.

Just being a pedantic sod, the 60s were more than 30 years before you got into the league. Once in the 70s we were voted back in partly at your expense, but again more than the 30 years you mentioned.

Anyway never mind. I don't have any gripe with Yeovil, they are not as tinpot as some.

Morecambe, on the other hand, are a real eyesore in that division. They SIMPLY MUST suffer relegation. I was gutted last year when they stayed up and we got bloody Barnet again (no offence to their posters on here who are a good bunch)

The brotherhood of bitterness continues!

Yeovil - League since 2003, 9 seasons in League One, 1 in the championship.
Awesome, well done!

Wrexham - Since 2003, 2 seasons in League One. 10 consecutive National League seasons.
“Once upon a time we used to be decent and that’s all we have to shout about now. We’re in a brotherhood of has beens, with a deluded sense of superiority over some who have outperformed us for nearly two decades.”

Then there is FC Halifax who’s delusion knows no bounds! They’re quite amusing though because everyone but themselves know they are proper shite!
