I don't have a link to show you, the best thing I can do is explain it..Do you have a link which explains how your club is set up now? I'm genuinely curious, because I read it as fans just supporting private individual(s) in reforming, making your club little different to how it was before hand, just with different owners. Is this a misunderstanding?
I'm always cagey about owners who put in money one way or another. You can have all the trust in the world for an owner who has an ulterior motive until they reveal it. People were cagey about Keith Cousins at the start and he won fans over, then turned around and stabbed everyone in the back.
Going back to the death of Salisbury City, a supporter whom I am friends with, Mark Winter and the con man Otail Touzar (One of his many different names), also known as Medi, took over the club, this was when there was under 24 hours before the club was to be wound up, unknown to all the Salisbury supporters. No proper checks were taken on Medi to see if he was legit, but some big names from well known companies had said to Mark that he was legit, and could be trusted.... The FA and Conference passed him through the tests, so we all thought it was okay, and this obviously proved to be wrong, and ultimately, after many months of trying to get the club in the hands of Mark (Who had owned up to his mistakes, and who only owned a very small part of the club) and 4 other people who made up a consortium, these people were trying to get the club back and then save it, but after many months of fighting Touzar for the club (All he ever got was about £4,000 from the club safe), the only way out seemed to be through the courts, but this still didn't work, so the best way to get through this was to have the club placed in administration, which was brought upon it by one consortium member whom was owed money by the club itself. After this, the club was to either be bought by someone, or a group and that would include the debts, or be wound up, getting rid of the debts, and leaving the assets of the club to be purchased by someone. Before this, whilst the club was trying to be won back, Steve Claridge had been announced as the next manager of Salisbury City by the consortium, and would take charge if a new team could be put together and the club won back...
The consortium seemed to break up, but three members stuck in there, and then along with Steve Claridge who had taken a shine to the club, and then Ian Ridley, a former Weymouth chairman, became an advisor to the 4. These 4 together purchased the assets of the club, and have now set up Salisbury FC as a phoenix club. The 3 other members other than Claridge are 3 supporters of the club, who have been supporters for a while, but have a genuine love for the club, but actually have some business sense, meaning they, along with Claridge have put together some plans which they have vowed to stick to, Claridge has said himself that owners need to learn to say 'no' when they cannot afford something. Which is the difference between the old owners. Also, the last owners, William Harrison Allan and co had decided to keep problems to themselves, and just kept running us further into the ground, of course, he has a history of messing up companies.
So the current owners are Steve Claridge (Also the next manager), and supporters of the club - David Phillips, Graeme Mundy and Jeremy Harwood, and then with Ian Ridley seemingly on the board as well. These are the owners, and have certainly not been hiding away like many former owners have, they have met with fans on many occasions and have also made it very clear they want the supporters club to be largely involved with this phoenix club, and have so far been very open with the goings on at the club. A long time supporter who many know has been brought into the new club as well to help get the club going forwards.
This is the current set up of the new club.
