Not quite sure how this game is still 1-1. Somehow a Exeter player managed to clear a goal off the line for us. They’re getting acres of space in that midfield.

Stech needs to be more commanding in the air. Looks rattled. Exeter very impressive so far

Gutted we aren't ahead here. Hope we don't rue all those chances.

How the fuck is that still 1-1. Could have scored 4 or 5.

Just hope we can keep up the performance and Luton are always going to threaten so need to stay resolute.

Great game

Really good game. We're playing really well and should definitely be ahead. I'm quite worried whenever Luton come forward, however.

All to play for.

I'm only 'watching' via Twitter updates but it seems like the switch to 3 at the back has made a big difference.

We needed more steel in the middle but I don’t think that was what’s caused it

On fire. Cornick unplayable. Suddenly got miles of space in midfield and ripping them apart. Went to three at the back at the end of the first half, stayed that way and seems to have worked

Has to be said, master stroke by Jones. Has been criticised for being tactically naive and rigid in the past. The boys learning...

This ref has made some very strange decisions this evening. Almost like he wants to be the centre of attention.

Not been able to watch or listen tonight. Out of interest, how have we lined up since going to a back 3? Presumably the front 3 are all still on the pitch so I'm guessing a kind of Conte-esque 3-4-3?

A huge sucker punch and a massive wake up call. We’ve now lost heavily to Notts and Luton which is very concerning. The only consolation is that’s been with Jordan Moore-Taylor at the back which has meant we’ve been playing a botched back four. The goals we conceded were awful from our point of view but fair play to Luton, they totally changed the game second half and that’s a sign of a team that will surely be in the top three come May.

We’ve got to respond at home to Vale on Saturday and I anticipate a few changes to freshen things up. Reid has been poor lately so bring back McAlinden.

Yep fair play to him, I’ve been a bit unsure about him (tactically that is) and felt it was a big season for him but so far he seems to be doing the business on that front also. He said he had learned and seems to be backing it up.

We are top. Just look at that GD! +22! :bdick::bdick::bdick:

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

We've now played all but one of the current top seven. We've beaten them all.

Yes JD as you mention 3 4 3 Stacey and Potts pushed up into midfield. Stiffled their midfield and they just crumbled without the space and time on the ball. Amazing change. We were in it in the first half looking dangerous in places but Exeter were amazing. Since the change they havent been in it.

Edit. Lol internet lag.

I was thinking the same.

Anyway that second half was abysmal. Really don't know how our performance dropped so drastically after playing so well in the 1st half. The game was finished within 10 minutes of the restart. Frustrating as I don't think there was as much as 3 goals between the sides. We were the much better team in the first half like Luton were in the second. We didn't take our chances whereas they were pretty clinical, though we did gift them a couple of goals. The sooner JMT returns the better.

That's a couple thrashings we've received now in big games which obviously is disappointing. Credit to Luton, they'll be up there this season.

Got to try and bounce back on Saturday against a rejuvenated Port Vale side.
