Think Top Notch and Cue Card will win but my only bet today is Mendip Express £5 ew @ 25/1. Decent form at this course and third in this race last year, not been in the best of form this year but there's certainly more in this horse. Well within an each way chance with the bookies paying 5 places.

It's not easy to picture Cue Card winning. I backed him in the GC and was very disappointed with the run, jumped poorly and was well beaten already when coming down. Had no excuses.

The World's End at 3/1 in profit for the day, but not hugely. Looks another difficult festival with big prices flying in. How Pingshou got up like that after, not to mention Ultragold, I'll never know.

The only thing I really enjoyed about Aintree this year was the renewal between Might Bite and Whisper.

Didn't win a penny, although if I hadn't talked myself out of backing Pingshou on Friday it would have been different

Had £5 e/w on master carpenter in the first at 14s returned me £94. Had £5 e/w on Lincoln in the 2nd at 14s returned me £19. Had £30 win on Brando in the 3rd at 11/4 returned me fuck all. May give the next a miss due to the big fav. Gonna back starlight romance in the 4.35 it's currently 9s.

Don't bother listening to my advice ffs. I'll be having top notch tonto in that race, likes the course and likes the ground although may be past it but worth a gamble at 12s. And benbatl at 8s in the Dante won a race at Doncaster by about 15 lengths , was 4th last out but gonna go with it again.

I've had £10 e/w on starlight romance at 10s. Anything wins all of them mate. 14s,25s,14s were the first three.
