1-0 to the hosts at half-time. Not that Sergio Rico has been overworked but Fulham have been so harmless going forward that Huddersfield will probably wake them up. Very poor going forward are the Londoners.
I quite like the look of Huddersfield with a nice 3412. The front 3 of Mooy, Pritchard and Mounié looking threatening (certainly more than Fulham's front 3). Hopefully they can win this as Fulham have showed nothing so far.
I have a slightly more pessimistic view of this than mistermagic. I think both teams look quite poor on the whole, but there are occasional flurries of good play.
Second half was more hectic as Fulham wanted to equalise but their attack was just too poor. Saying this, I can understand why Huddersfield failed to keep clean sheets in all but one game as the defending was somewhat naive at times. At some point, Wagner reverted to 433 during the second half with Kongolo taking the LB spot and Löwe playing higher up. Problem was Hogg and Billing weren't exactly helping the CBs and that meant it was always 2v2 when Fulham attacked. It's a huge risk to take. Maybe Wagner needs to discover the importance of a defensive midfielder.
Fulham just have no attacking talent. Simple as. The subs were incredibly underwhelming tonight. McDonald, Christie and Johansen. Deary me.
Blimey that was a bit shite, but first home goal and league win for 7 months felt good. Need to improve though, we've played a lot better than that and lost this season.
