If drug classifications were based on the science rather than public perception then alcohol would easily be a class A substance.

I understand that it's capable of being very destructive, but the % of alcohol drinkers that actually get into a position whereby it negatively affects their lives.....compared to Class A drugs such as Crack, Heroin, etc......put's them in totally different Leagues.

Alcohol can be enjoyed moderately, without any issue, if the 'user' is responsible.

Crack and Heroin can't be used moderately without being instantly addicted, and you turning into the devil. I've seen how destructive Heroin can be, first hand, to a close relative.

If the % of Class A users was the same as the number of alcohol drinkers, we'd all be dead within a week. The country would be absolute bedlam.
