Could they have eyes on David "Dave" Challinor?

It's possible. Bigger North West clubs are the worry when the potential for losing Challinor arises.

But I think the compo we'd want puts some clubs off. Particularly when they can get some foreign genius for a pittance like a lot of Championship or aspiring Championship clubs seem to like to do.

The only issue about that is if the manager wants to leave, it’s bad enough with a player but if a manager wants out it’s 100x worse.

I’m not suggesting Challinor would do that, but a big enough of a opportunity in terms of career and money can do it to anyone.

I think Challinor is pretty happy at county to be fair, plus he is going to have to wait until Jan to get players in. He'd only come to us, if he wants to and has done all he can at County, which he hasn't, he's just starting there

Yeah I agree.

I'm not sure he's that into leaving here for Bolton though. If he is, we would probably have to facilitate it. Bolton are a much bigger club than us but not sure he'd be jumping into their arms. Could be wrong.

We got £250k when Peterborough diverted Steve Evans from China, so when that day comes hopefully Stockport manage to get a really substantial fee.

Been told by someone who’s usually pretty good on the ITK that Evatt’s gone. Can’t confirm it and will wait for something official before believing it but Saturday definitely felt like the end of an era.

Evatt is staying but changes to the coaching staff and maybe Captain...........Blame anyone but himself
The blokes deluded now and turning against the fans only going to be one winner in that!
How arrogant to say he has a win percentage ratio few managers at Bolton have ever had.
Not many if any have managed Bolton in the bottom two leagues 4 consecutive seasons in over 150 years of league football since Bolton scored the first league goal in the football league in 1888

Staggered he hasn’t gone. Thrown a coach and an analyst under the bus instead. Santos no longer captain. I think this is just a delay of the inevitable. With the number of fans he’s lost and the negativity it’s so hard to come back from that for any manager at any club. This season is possibly already a write off.

It would be pretty amusing if Bolton sacked Evatt and replaced him with Lowe who is just a carbon copy.

An arrogant dickhead who religiously sticks to one system and one way of playing, despite any half-decent opposition managers easily working it out.

I couldn't see Schumacher taking a L1 job.

Alex Neil would be a very sensible choice.

I have said this over the last 2 years. The guy has not done a remarkable job. I could have got Bolton promoted from league 2. He's then had a top 3 budget for the last 2 to 3 years and failed to get promoted.

I also said that Ian Evatt's opinion of himself far outweighs Ian Evatt's ability. He's a really dislikeable person and I said that once it starts going wrong, the fans will turn on him. It's exactly what I thought would happen.

Evatt made things remarkably harder for himself by trying to get promoted playing his fantasist pep walk the ball in woke speepwalk training drill "football" instead of getting the job done any means necessary. Pompey/Derby last season weren't special but they didn't give a damn about how they won even it meant scrubbing it, Evatt on the other hand would rather lose 1-0 as long as he had more XG to say we were the better team blah blah. Then the cherry on top is the fact it's boring as fck to watch in the first place, just because you play on the ground doesn't make it nice to watch... He's the only one entertained by it.

This is nothing new though is it, Bolton have been pretty streaky in their form in all of Evatt's seasons? In that respect he's not too dissimilar from Lee Johnson.

Yet when I questioned that previously, Bolton fans made out that he was some sort of miracle worker. They will have had double or treble the budget of every other team in league 2, anyone with a working brain could have managed promotion

Then they will have had at worst a top 4 budget in league 1 and still can't get out.

The only person that truly believes Ian Evatt is a top class manager is Ian Evatt.

I said this before the start of last season and was widely derided. Evatt has not actually achieved anything remotely remarkable in his managerial career.

Get Big Sam back so we can have Bruce vs Sam.

It'll feel very Barclays.

Jones is currently the bookies favourite for the Cardiff job. I know in the past he's said it's a bit of a dream job for him and he'd struggle to turn it down. That being said not sure it'll happen as wouldn't expect Vincent Tan to want to buy him out of a contract.

Lindsey is favourite for the MK Dons role.

Why drop down a division. For the project of course. The project of earning lots more money. I wouldn't blame him.

It is a choice for him though. I reckon if he can keep Crawley up this season he'd be a great shout for a Championship club in the summer. Go to MK and not get promoted he is a lower league manager forevermore. Even if he gets promoted with MK he is still only in league 1.

Still. Lots more money is not to be sniffed at.

Reckoned to be an announcement this afternoon.

Any decent managers around....decent that would be prepared to come to Crawley?

With Wagmi I'm expecting a completely left field announcement. Maybe Cioffi to come back.

Lindsey has left for MK Dons. He has taken all the senior coaches with him. Jamie Day, Karl Laraman and Steve Hale.

Need someone in pretty quick with all of them leaving.

I expect they will ask Ben Gladwin to be caretaker.

Really rate Lindsey as a manager. I said before Saturdays game I wouldn't be surprised to see him take a bigger role before long. Didn't think it would be this soon and dropping a division though

MK Dons seems a poisoned chalice. Who was their last successful manager?

Could have got a job at this level in January if he'd stayed on another few months.

That's roughly what I've been saying.

If he doesn't get Dons promoted he stays a lower league manager because they have the funds and stadium to walk that league.
If they do get promoted he is back in league 1.
If he kept us up this season he would be a shout for a championship club in the summer. If we got relegated that would be expected so another league 1 club would probably make him an offer.

I do wish him well but I do question this choice.
