Do you work for the Star with those name spellings?
Absolutely right, must try harder.

Having said that, hopefully Hugill and Humphreys will be gone in January and I won't have to worry about them in future.

Nice to see you keeping an interest in my posts.
Merry Christmas.

Reminds me of the time when our former manager and Leyton Orient failure Steve Davis went from 21st in the National League and sacked to the Premier League in a few years as caretaker boss of Wolves! That really was failing upwards!
The absolute gold standard for this is Dave Hockaday.

Failing miserably in the Conference, blink, and he's in charge of Leeds United.

Not directly League One but with enough League One reference to make it passable, in regards to the guy at Oxford getting sacked, does it show more than ever how true it is that you can be the victim of your own success?

If they lost the play-off final but were hovering around the League One play-offs, he's still there isn't he?

I think we win the failing upwards trophy….

Rob Page fell into the Wales job after being given the tin tack by us, and a couple of years previously Aidy Boothroyd was sacked with us bottom of League 2 and ended up managing England U21’s next!

Baffling.

Baffling.

We had Steve Holland as manager who was absolutely useless. Next minute he's the assistant manager at Chelsea and winning the Champions League before getting the England No. 2 job under Southgate!

With Neil Harris and Des Buckingham now avaliable, theres a few options for the more southern based clubs.

I wonder if Camrbidge would consider taking Harris back? He would 100% be on our radar if Wellens was to leave.

Also seeing rumours that Bristol Rovers new owner was a big reason why they were so poor against us two weeks ago - something about him picking the team and telling Matt Taylor not to interfere.

From afar i don’t really see what Neil Harris has done wrong to leave?

If i were cambridge and both parties swallowed their pride it would work well, for me he’s a good record.

Very much true and on the opposite side i have seen players not giving there all in play-offs who are fringe players or on the bench knowing full well that with promotion they will be seeking work elsewhere.

Harris played the most boring football ever conceived at Gillingham.

I think they liked him there, and you've obviously got to take into account that probably a third of his games were at Championship level but you do wonder if it wasn't Buckingham, whether Oxford fans would be as happy with a manager who took over with them in 2nd in L1, snuck into the PO's on the final day and over his how ever many games there conceded more than they scored.

Ironically enough they seemed to play in an un-Buckingham way to get through the PO's.

Considering that his release clause was rumoured to be £750k to get him out of The City Group only about a year ago, it's a big decision for them to make.

Not sure how Robie and GeneralLee saw it.

There’s a bit of a bigger picture, he went back there to help the owner out as they were desperate, their owner is the son of the previous owner who tragically died in a car crash last year, Harris always said to the family that he’d always go back if they ever needed him in an emergency - he which he did earlier this year and it paid off.

However the bigger picture is that the current Millwall owner wants a better type of football and seems to have a say on signings - which Harris I believe has struggled to work with since the summer.

His deal was only until the summer and he was expected to move on regardless of what happened this season, due to conflicting views with the current owner from what I heard.

The other week he labelled some of the Millwall fanbase “thickos” after they lost a game and they all decided, let’s just part ways now as it’s not going last or end well at this rate.

Personally it’s a no from me, didn’t like him when he was here and thought he liked the sound of his own voice to much, can’t argue with his record though so can see why the board would take him back especially since millwall paid a fee for him from us, it would probably be a bit of sound business.

Don’t think the fans would be to happy though after how he left us.

UIE.

Neil Harris went from League 2 with Gillingham> League 1 with Cambridge> Championship with Millwall and he barely did anything right in the process.

A severe lack of decent options out there currently. Apparently we should have a new manager by Saturday.
Dont worry Wrexham we never get a manager bounce, not even a brief one

Pierce Sweeney has said that Matt Taylor is better off out of Rovers, given some of the things happening there.
Wonder what he means of that??

TBF has done well at Millwall twice I think but not going to get away with calling fans "thickos" just because they boo a defeat at home.

I read that and it made me laugh, "thicko" just sounds like an insult you'd stop using once you were out of nursery school. Not very Miwwaww at all...

What next, calling someone a "bumface"?

Where did you see this?

Sweeney does seem to have a big gob though didn't he have a bust-up with an Exeter fan last season during a match?

Something about the chairman's son picking the team apparently..
The worst part is that’s just part of it.

Lee Cattermole came in last week as set piece coach, was promoted to interim manager on Monday and has now quit.

The owners are making it up as they’re going along like it’s a game of fifa. Players are wanting out, naturally. We’re absolutely going down.

Maybe that won’t be a bad thing, these lot might just sell up then
