Rooney was a world class player, but you'd have to go back 3 or more years to see evidence of it.

I agree with the person on this thread who said if he were to change his diet and become motivated again he could get back to something approaching his best.

Although definitely not an automatic starter on his current form.

At what point is Rooney going to be officially dropped as captain? It's clear he's no longer good enough to be an automatic choice, so providing Mourinho and the club have the bollocks to finally do what no manager before has done and actually recognise that, he can't be the captain if he's only played as backup.
