Golacho (sp?). Misconception that it was Lazio.

Some of us are too young to remember Football Italia, but I do love James Richardson. And boy, doesn't he look very sweet with hair.

Juve-Napoli right now, if we win it would probably be a decisive step towards the Scudetto.

g'wan napoli. 4 winnable games remaining for them. juve have to go to inter and roma, with the coppa final only 4 days before the roma game, both of them capable of taking points.

it was an unrecognizable juve. In the last 2 games it has only collected one point with two very bad performances.

In Italy, many people think that Napoli will win the "Scudetto".

I think that .. never give Juventus for dead

Is there any neutral football fan that doesn't want Napoli to lift the trophy and break the Juve dominance? Would be a refreshing change for sure and looking like a real possibility now, go on Napoli!

Not wanting to open a can of worms but doesn't winning 7 titles in a row signify a complete and utter lack of competition? I know Napoli battled them close by winning at their ground but surely this cannot be good for Italian football...

lack of competition.. you are right but i ask you

in the modern football, in most of the championships or in competitions in general, is there competition?

in the best case between two or three teams, which however are clearly superior to all the other teams

This is soccer now.. we cannot do anything with it.. And in the future.. oh! The elite will grow and.. the others?

Yes, Serie A is becoming more similar to Ligue 1 and Bundesliga from this point of view, mainly because Milan and Inter, that used to be Juve's traditional competitors, are in crisis since years. Napoli and Roma, the teams that are trying the most to interrupt Juve's dominion, are like an italian version of Tottenham: they have some good players and play a good football, but they simply lack a winning mentality.

Despite investment. It really is strange how badly the Milan sides seem to struggle to even get to the Champions' League spots, let alone challenge for the title.

Gigi Buffon has just announced that he will leave Juventus after the last match of the season, which is in two days. Not sure if he'll immediately take up a managerial career or he'll still play a few years abroad. Personally, I'll be forever grateful to him but I wouldn't like to see him in some elephant's graveyard like the MLS or the Chinese Super League.

It won't happen, mate. No MLS or Chinese Super League. Yesterday he said clearly that he wont' play in in a little ambitious championship.

If he will play, he will do it for an important Fotball Club, otherwise will leave the Football.

Buffon has been linked to sign for PSG.

In more exciting news, Parma have clinched promotion back to Serie A. Their stay out of the top tier will have been 3 seasons. Well done to them. Empoli have yoyoed (finished top just after being relegated) and won the league. Kudos.

Interesting going-ons in Italy.

Inter make the Champions league with a late win v rivals for 4th Lazio who were 2-1 up but gave away a penalty..

The defender who conceded the spot kick has signed a Pre-contract agreement with....

INTER!

Great init. Used to love watching the old Parma team with all their future stars. Lucarelli is a hero for staying with them through the relegation and promotions as well. 40 years old now. Class.

Ancelotti new Napoli manager then. Very interesting. Hopefully another title race with Juve next season.
It's been a better season in general for Italian football. I've been very critical of the lack of talent but sides have been of decent quality and I hope it continues. Juve, Napoli and Roma need to keep up the good work in Europe. in that respect, Carlo is a terrific appointment.
