For pure ability on the ball he’s easily the best player I’ve ever seen in a GTFC shirt, mesmerising most weeks he was an absolute joy to watch, and I think another big reason we all loved him was that he paid £50000 of his own cash to buy himself out of that company who owned him just to be able to play for us.

Must be galling that your north-American namesake is better than you. We have one too, in Pennsylvania, and by most accounts it's a bit shit. All I could tell you about it is they have a charity called 'United Way' which fucks with my Google searches and they have a prison that they copied off us. I imagine it would be true for any English town that isn't Boston (to be fair Boston, Lincs. doesn't take much beating but the Yanks have certainly made sure of it and knocked it out of the park)

Good article. As Fish says, he was absolute quality in the second tier for us. Just oozed a bit of class that nobody had. Was a real shame what happened as I think if he'd not got that fractured cheekbone and remained with us, we could have had a shot at the playoffs. His crowning moment was certainly the goal vs Buckley's WBA. Great moment. Also remember he scored a banger of a header against Derby. It's kind of frustrating that the plate of chicken incident kind of shadows the wonderful 3-0 FA Cup defeat against West Ham too.
