A genuine legend at The Shay, the club began its climb back to the Conference after reforming, on the back of his goals, 40 in his first season. His deep bond with the fans prompted the local newspaper to write a feature about it, titled The Cult of Deano. R.I.P big man.

As at Halifax Deano quickly became a legend and fan favourite at Chorley, played an enormous part in our promotions during his time at the club. What a guy, R.I.P. Deano thoughts and prayers with your family and loved ones.

The first hero of the new Halifax club. 70 goals in 120 games in his time with us. He got the club moving in the right direction again.
I hope we can properly show our appreciation to the man at the Chesterfield game and a flag is to be created that will forever have a place in the South Stand.
RIP young man. You wont be forgotten. Thoughts with his family at this time
