Looks as though we have started negotiations with Nottingham Forest to try and get Jake Taylor on a permanent rather than extending the loan with the threat of other clubs coming in for him January on loan.

Would be a great signing if we can pull it off but imagine it will cost a fair bit so may be the Man City money going into it!

Don’t think we need too much, really. The only question mark is up front where we’ve struggled to convert our dominance into goals. But Bowman now has 9 goals, Alex Fisher looks dependable and Nicky Ajose is now back fit, so if they do the business over the next month then I doubt we’ll add anyone.

That said, Randell Williams has been superb and will attract interest, plus Archie Collins has a few admirers. If we can keep everyone then we should go the distance, whereas losing Stockley last year killed us.

City fans also will be hoping Ollie Watkins moves for big money so we can cash in big time.

Like has been said, if we can keep Williams, then we should be fine. Ajose coming back to full fitness, so hopefully he'll be the saviour to our goal scoring problems.

Not overly bothered if Archie Collins was to go, as we've got more than capable players to replace him in Nicky Law, Jake Taylor & Nigel Atangana, along with Jordan Tillson. Lee Martin can also play there if needed. Sparkes has also been getting interest off Forest & Barnsley, so that would be interesting if anything was to come of it, although we are pretty stacked in the LB department, with Craig Woodman, Dean Moxey & Alex Hartridge all capable of playing there.

Fisher is out for 6 weeks. The reluctance to play Ajose concerns me. I would like to get in a striker on loan, is Doyle free?
Clearly keeping hold of Williams is a priority though

Another ex-Bury?

We tried for him in the summer but he wanted to stay up north. Would be a decent signing, we need a goal scorer. The ex bury lads haven’t really stood out. Danny Mayor hasn’t shown much end product, whilst the others have all picked up injuries. Quite like Byron Moore at RWB and Calum McFadzean at LWB though.

Will Aimson has played less than 5 games and can’t even make the match day squad!

Can't understand why the new manager at Mansfield isn't playing him unless he believes that he is already off?

Possibly. Or there could be nothing in it and he believes Andy Cook and Danny Rose are better! We’ll see!

Random rumour generator from me putting 2 and 2 together and no doubt getting 53, but I wouldn't be surprised if we were in for Nicky Maynard. Michael Duff has made no secret of the fact that we were in for him when Bury signed him last season, only for Bury to blow us out of the water wage wise, and he's dropped a massive hint that a new forward is due in January.

With Maynard now out of favour and looking like going elsewhere....

Doyle can’t play for anyone other than Bradford or Swindon as he’s played for both teams this season. Not that we’d be able to afford his wages, anyway.

I would be surprised if we don't sell anyone, but that could be anything up to 5 of Ryan Wintle, Pery Ng, Charlie Kirk, Harry Pickering, Tommy Lowery. All are ready to step up at least one league right now, so I guess it depends how good an offer we get for them, I know the board have been keen to sell for about 2 years but we're actually doing it from a position of strength now so I hope we don't just sell to the first bidder. Whether we need to bring anyone else in depends purely on who leaves.

Would imagine that Maynard is a bit more in favour now after yesterday's performance!
