Sounds like the bloke is a walking 70s sitcom based on those allegations. If they are proven then he won’t work in football again.

Said it earlier in the season, the bloke comes
across as a complete tool, felt sorry for the person who used to do his post match interviews for him. This however is another level completely, amazing it hasn’t came out sooner. Innocent until proven guilty of course, but can’t say I’m surprised.

I've always found him quite amusing and admired his straight talking but that is outrageous, its what you'd say 50 years ago!

If proven guilty he should be severely punished, what does shock me though is how its been allowed to go on for seemingly so long!

Exactly -- It has taken new owners to sort it out.

Yeah, this is appalling.
There is very clear line between being "straight talking" and racism and abuse. This behaviour has no place in modern society.

It comes to something if even the Daily Mail are outraged
Yes but are the people commenting on the story?

Most will rightly be appalled at the comment and if they stand up he will get what he deserves but you know some will say "what about freedom of speech" etc.

I’m sure there’s a Non League club in Essex that will take him on.

I'm surprised nobody didn't smack the vile man. He will never work again, in or out of football, unless Steve Evans wants an assistant at Stevenage

If memory serves aren’t Fylde owned by that mate of Nigel Farage? Seems like the perfect match assuming these allegations are correct.

Never liked the man. Always thought there was "something about him" that was shady and I can`t say I`m surprised it`s this. Just how he hasn`t been brought to book sooner is what surprises me. He must have had the younger players terrified of him

It's telling that this has only come out since the takeover. There is no way the previous owner didn't know about this - he has a lot to answer for.

I've been thinking the same, think they gave Yems a new contract last year too IIRC.

Wouldn't of suprised me if they knew, but batted it away each time it got raised. On personal level they may have got on with Yems so tried to turn a blind eye to it or maybe they couldn't be bothered and realised that this issue was coming so it was part of their reason for selling up - if this is all true of course. These sort of allegations and incidents happen over a period of time usually.

Hold your horses chaps.

I dont "know" Yems but have spoken to him on occasion since he was manager of Horsham...yonks ago.

While the taking the piss out of Greek music is believable having a segregated training ground is bullshit. The man never stopped going on about how the squad must always pull together, how the whole must strive to be better than the parts etc. Also, three black players at the club signed new contracts with Yems still in charge (before the allegations were made). Honestly, not a hope in hell of that happening if the training ground was racially segregated.

I sometimes get fed up with his curt manner in interviews but going from that to calling him a Victorian bigot is just not on. Let's not forget. The owner until just a few weeks ago was a Turk. The guys who ran it for him on a day to day basis were Turks and Muslims. Can you imagine them allowing some of these things to go on?

The new owners have attended a fans forum , they appear genuine people and have had this land in their lap. I am waiting to see how they handle it and what is released from their investigation.

If that does happen would make these alleged comments even more out of place and bizarre.

Whether there is or isn't, this was the only way out for both parties I think.
Come off it, 7 players reported him to the PFA for heavens sake

Still don't know the truth or not behind the allegations. By sacking him they don't have to report anything. Hopefully the PFA will release some information

I've said here before I don't believe some of the allegations...pure crap imho, but if there is evidence of racial/homophobic discrimination it should be out there and Yems should never work in football again.

If there isn't any evidence then Yems deserves an apology and, maybe, a day in court.

Casey....Jim Baker.

As I understand it these allegations have been around for a while but your clubs previous owner has clearly sat on them. That is pretty disturbing in itself. If it was one player you could understand it may have been a disgruntled player etc but this is multiple players that have come forward, it’s hard for me to believe they are all making it up.

I don't believe a Muslim would have "sat on" alleged racist/religious abuse of another Muslim. Our owner and day to day ops managers were both Asian and Muslim.

That's what I mean. Some of these stories just don't add up but if there was truth to some of these allegations then Yems deserves to be sacked and deserves to be banned from football for ever and a day.

It’s a really odd one, especially with the exposure with the Mark Wright stuff and the documentary’s around that.

To keep a lid on the type of things that we’re accused is some going but as mentioned before some of these accusations are abhorrent, how on earth has it took this long to be reported if it is true?

It’s all a bit bizarre but if it does turn out to be true then he shouldn’t work in football again.

But then you have to look at it from the other side. Why would several players make it up? If they wanted him sacked they could have just downed tools like players normally do to get a manager sacked.
