Are these all professional teams in the running? Bromley away sounds like a game you might get in the first round of the FA cup.

Don't know about Bromley, but Solihull are and Alty went professional very recently.

As much as Solihull would be an easier away day, I'd really like Altrincham to do it. They should have been a Football League team years ago.

Please let it be Alty.

Think it will be Bromley though. I believe they have a plastic pitch?, so they will have to do a Harrogate and rip that up then if they do it

Yeah they’re all professional, Altrincham most recently who have only been pro a couple of seasons

For God's sake, not you lot again. Welcome back. How's George Lloyd done in L1? Looks like he had plenty of game time.

Effort, work rate etc second to none. But he can't finish for shit, only scored twice all season and both came in the same match (although he has had two more incorrectly ruled out).

He's out of contract now I believe - I'd probably offer him another year to see if he can do it in L2 but it's getting to the point where a permanent move away might be best for all.

At least with Solihull Moors if they are coming up, it's post merger. Would have felt even more of a slap in the face if we'd been replaced in the EFL by Moor Green. Never liked them.

Would love it to be alty, as others have said they’d been screwed over a few times in the past and would love to see them get through today.

He looked great at this level in 22/23 and bagged 5 for us in quite a defensive side. A couple of those were really tidy finishes too. Remember a nice little one on one bouncing ball that he dinked over the Rochdale keeper. Well worth a deal at this level I'd have thought. Might be that he's one of them that's just not quite good enough for L1 perhaps.

Rumours he’s been offered deals by bigger clubs. He’s unlikely to stay even if we offer him a deal

Got to be Alty simply for being the least embarrassing of the three candidates. Bromley have goalposts on wheels for goodness' sake. And aren't Solihull getting kicked out of that ground by the factory next door? How can they get past the 10-year guarantee thing

Solihull for me. The wife is originally from there and all her family still live there.

If he goes what are the odds Cotterill goes back to replace him? Even though he's said he's staying we all know his feelings for Cheltenham so not sure he'd be able to resist an offer.

How did these 3 little minnows in the National league do well but the former football league clubs like Oldham, Southend and Hartlepool didn't make it?

He gave us some amazing limbs away at Donny last season with that injury time winner too.

No chance at all. He’ll never want to risk sullying his reputation with us.

Joining FGR hasn’t done that.

Colours nailed firmly to the Alty mast. I am intrigued to see Cheek for Bromley though. Seems high up the scorer charts in that league each year and one of those you’d think would be worth a look just off his goal stats. Never knowingly seen him play though.

Good at that level, I'm not sure he ever had the ability to step up. Definitely consistent though and has a knack of being in the right place.

He's scored loads against us over the years,. for various clubs.

I hope to god we never have to face the Cheek ever again.

There can’t be many other sides he’s scored more against than us… we’ve ran away with the title this year and he’s still managed a hattrick against us at their place ffs

This Cheek guy people are going on about sounds like some non-league version of Scott Mcgleish.
