Understandably took us 4 seasons, all ended in the playoff campaigns and finally we got the job done in nail biting fashion.

Taken others longer....

The difference with Notts and a lot of other clubs was that you got rid of your shit owner in the summer you went down. If you hadn't the league may have been a but harder- it's a league that chews up basket case clubs.

It says a lot about how tricky a league it is to get out of that it still took Notts four seasons to do it despite mostly having decent squads and a stable ownership when down there.

I feel sorry for any club who get relegated to Non League and are forced to stay with the same ownership that took them down. Ouch!

Having a stable and postive ownership is vital and an advantage for us. Would have been far harder with worst owners or impossible with our former owner.

Our ownership change happened pretty late in the day which clearly impacted the start to that first season, yet we still reached the play off final. We then slowly regressed in terms of when we were knocked out the playoffs. But still was in the mix every season we were down there. Never had a nothing mid table season type finish like so many ex FL clubs.

It's always going to be tricky with only one automatic spot and other former clubs in the league with more stability and less decline. We were just very very fortunate to be taken over by such great owners gave us a great chance every season.

I agree, you need everything to go right, right owner, manager, squad and minimal injuries to get over the line.

I think that surpasses the sum total of all their home crowds all year. Some effort, that.
I guess a £6 tube ticket makes it accessible for anyone in London so you've got loads of tag ons. Credit where it's due, though.
It’s the second club tax. So many Palace, Charlton, Millwall fans have followed Bromley for years but favour going to their own games first

Plus never forget those train strikes last season.

Still 23,000 preserved to support the stylish magpies that day.

Train strikes and resulting extortionate coach prices. It was coming up in the many hundreds just for me and the fam to get there so we got priced out sadly.

Don’t forget there was no Wembley novelty factor for us either as it was our 3rd time there, so when you factor that in with no trains & extortionate coach prices, it’s going to put the day trippers off isn’t it.

20k of us there for our first visit there in the 2012 JPT final vs Swindon

Bromley come out swinging in the first few minutes. They look just the team that would have a field day with us with the aerial bombardment. Hoping for Solihull anyway, another midlands team won’t hurt.

This is such a poor quality game. Can see it being 0-0 after 120 minutes and going to penalties at this rate.
A surprise to no one, 2 of the most horrible sides in the National League. Intrigued to see how either do next season, quality-wise they should be straight back down but their style of football will be alien to most in L2. They could do surprisingly well.

Let's just all be thankful Boreham Wood never went up. They take shithousery to a whole new planet. Disgusting team.

I'm delighted Boreham Wood never went up and I hope AFC Fylde never go up too for the same reason. Danny Hunter and David Haythornthwaite are two highly detestable individuals for a start.

Honestly can't say I know much about either of these teams but what I'm seeing right now is absolutely painful. Very boring to watch. I think whoever wins today doesn't spend longer than 3 years in the EFL and they'd be lucky to get 3 in it on the basis of this performance.

We can’t have this Bromley team coming up. This is absolute football terrorism, a flat back nine against a team they finished above.

Hahaha and of course Cheek just bulldozes one. You kind of have to respect them.

1-0 Bromley Cheek. Was just about to say how shit he actually looks as a player based on these playoffs but there you go I guess. Piss poor from the Solihull defender.

These 2 being the final is all the ammo you need to open the 1 up 1 down discussion
Now we're back in the league bring back the need to be elected to the EFL.

Oldham, Hartlepool, Southend, Rochdale and York being the only clubs in the National League who could possibly be elected, though York are walking a tightrope with their shit new ground.
