About to say, anyone who’s ever been to that ground wouldn’t say so.
Might as well be in the away end at Newcastle than Gateshead. Probably can see the pitch from NUFC away end :D

I did Gateshead a few years ago. Fuck me its far, then even more further than far!

Yeah it makes the away end at cambridge feel like you’re on the pitch

Lovely fans mind, always been a class bunch and they used to travel decently well for the numbers they got at home.

3rd lowest in the conference above oxford city (i didn’t even know there was an oxford city  ) and boreham wood.

Just the thought of that league makes me shudder.

Spot on, Cambridge away you're almost so far away they might as well be in uni than in the ground ffs :D

Bobby Moore was Oxford City's manager for a time, Harry Redknapp was there too! Used to have a nice little ground fairly near the city centre too.

Decent little club but indeed tiny these days. Still, I think there's a case that in both Oxford and Cambridge, back in the day, it was the wrong clubs that got elected to the league.....

Doubtful we'll bring him with us so if you fancy a right back who can't defend for toffee and collects more cards than Moonpig, I've got just the thing.

Not yet, all it takes is for Chesterfield to lose their last 8 games and Barnet to win their last 8 plus a massive goal difference swing.
I’d call it a 50/50 shot myself.

To be fair, if any club could spectacularly implode from this position then it is Chesterfield...

Another Yorkshire club in Halifax would be good
Potential for massive away allocations as well. I say potential because it depends on West Yorks plod. They regarded Grimsby fans visiting on Boxing Day with such distaste they restricted us 1,100 and an early Ko, yet let Wrexham take a gazillion there last Good Friday.

The food at Gateshead is absolutely terrific. Almost makes the trip there worthwhile.

Better places to go for decent food and you don't have to witness shite football in a shite ground for it.

The 1st time I travelled to watch game at Gateshead my first impression of stadium from the road was more than impressive.
Inside yes I needed binos to watch game, but that's no different from Wembley.
Big stadium for a small supported team. They might have more success if they relocated.
BTW not only is food as good as the best elsewhere but the local pub on riverside is worth visiting.

I've never quite got over the loss of those Kidderminster pies. I'm glad they had got relegated by that point.

Can't say for definite...because I haven't been there for a while...but someone told me that Kiddy have changed their caterer and Aggborough soup, plus their famous pie range, is no more!

I went there a few weeks back: the large cottage pies are back (in small number), but the soup and other stuff the previous caterer made are not.

Think we hoped it would be last game, but could only draw. Then tonight but we're too busy being shafted by Halifax. I'd be surprised if we don't sell out Saturday now though, it would be good to seal it at home. Making heavy weather of it though, we've been dog shit for weeks now.
