Nobody cares about this til the regional finals, then it is queueing around the block time.

I try never to miss a game of this, for it would be a great feeling at Wembley to say i had actually see how my team had got there.

Not that we have ever got there of course. I therefore have a rather large catelogue of watching us get spanked in this competition.

Shouldn't really have been a clean sheet for you but oh well. Don't think you can really give plaudits to your defence when Jabo's missed a sitter and had two cleared off the line in a 20 minute cameo. Our starting team was pretty crap so I sort of expected nothing until we made subs.

I work with a couple of Carlisle fans and they fancy you for the play offs. What I have seen of you i have been impressed so hardly surprising you pushed them

Got to be in the position on the line to clear it to be fair. Team that finished was weakened by the end and sounds like we missed Foley and Moore so pleased to get through in the end.

Just glad we gave another good showing in a game against higher division, didn't seem like there was much in it. That being said, neither team really seemed to care up until the latter stages of the match so perhaps I shouldn't draw conclusions from it.

For clubs of your size, probably. But for the smaller teams it isn't. 2 of my all time favourite Alex memories came in this competition. When we beat Coventry at a packed Ricoh and beating Southend. I'll likely never see the Alex win a division title and definitely won't see us win the FA or League Cup. This for us is the best we can hope for silverware wise. Plus we made a load of money from the run we had 3 years ago, so financially it was worth it as well. I understand the flak this competition gets and I think everyone would get over it pretty quickly were it to be scrapped. But I do think it holds some value for the smaller teams.

We'll go out in Round 2. The North West section is stacked with tough teams, only 1 L2 team left in that group. Morecambe away would be fun. Would take them away, Blackpool away or anyone bar the Vale at home.
