Easy home win.

Scum haven't beaten us for over 15 years. Last four games = four Oxford wins.

That's cos you've spent most of those years in non league, muppet.

What part of last four games = four Oxford wins don't you understand? Idiot.

A statistic I suspect only Oxford fans are bothered about.

For me league 1 > league 2.

But continue knocking one out over your 4 wins.

Bullshit.

So you don't care about losing to your bitterest rivals? It hurts you, and you know it.

You really don't know me very well at all. I genuinely have no feelings towards those 4 defeats. You clearly don't or won't believe me but my that's the truth. Others will care, that much is true but I don't.

Anyway I'm sure other league 1 fans don't want to read about this after the pathetic ness of the Bristol City fans last season.

Plymouth v Exeter?
Doubt it personally. Plymouth and Exeter have played each other loads in the last 2-3 years. Swindon and Oxford haven't met since 2012 when PDC was in charge of Swindon. Real revenge angle as well considering Swindon haven't beaten them since 2001 as well. I would be shocked if that game was overlooked for the West County tie.

Warning! Warning! Sad old fossil alert!

Judging by your user name you are probably of the 80s vintage.

I'm with Agombar with this. I don't care any more - sure I'll be pissed off if we lose, but no more so than whenever we lose a game.

I've even backed you to win L2 - that's how much I care about it all.
That plus the fact it's the JPT. We're likely to field a 2nd XI as we did at Newport.

Very weird response.

So who ARE your rivals? It must be teams that you play against more regularly, by your logic. Such as who? Oldham? Walsall? Colchester?

So you won't be celebrating if you beat us any more than if you beat Bury or Rochdale? In the words of a sad old fossil, "I don't believe it!!!!"

Honestly, I probably felt as you do - but not for a while really. It just doesn't mean that much any more.

Maybe it's your move from the Manor - which was magnificently ramshackle - to that carbuncle of a stadium you now inhabit.

The Bristol City games last season were enjoyable for the hype, atmosphere etc. But if I had a choice I'd like to play Reading again more than Oxford.

I can't believe we've actually been drawn at home in this competition.

For me it's always been Bristol City, even if the 82'ers try their best to ignore us. And we don't even play them that often, so where's the logic in that then? Dunno, but that's just how it is with me.

My brother, mind, hates Oxford with a vengance. I don't get it, although I'm happy to go along with the mood and insult the Headington mob with everyone else. But I've got to admit, my heart's never been in it.

Anyway, back to the tie, it will be a good one because you lot are playing football nowadays, and of course there'll be a good atmosphere. Looking forwards to it (on the telly, I'm not bloody going!)

We always take pleasure in beating the Swine, but I am not sure whether they class us as rivals in the same way

You're probably right, so cue a meaningless tie between 2 northern tinpot sides

A trip to the Kassam awaits - always a treat!

The only blot on Paolo Di Canio's quite glorious copybook during his illustrious tenure at Swindon Town was not putting the scummers to the sword - it is great to have the opportunity to resume normal service.

Shit?

I'd have thought any home draw was ok. We've been drawn away in far flung parts for just about every cup game recently.

It would be good to have a couple of home games on the trot, especially as we seemed to be drawn away for most of our run last season. Either that or get one of the West Country sides (assuming we beat Luton) away. I haven't been to a JPT* since 1999(Torquay).

*or whatever it was called then
