I gave it some thought and to be fair there's no telling. This is definitely one way of handling a proper falling out going into the most important month in the past decade for the club. It's not a given they'd want to openly admit they've terminated his contract, and Buvac could certainly agree to leave it under wraps until after the season has ended.

But considering how highly Klopp speaks of him it's just not any other assistant, it's the tactical brain behind everything Klopp has achieved. Chances are we're a significantly less accomplished side without him, which will hurt us whether he's back here come august or not.

True, no one (not even me as some of you on here will be shocked to learn) predicted we'd have gotten this far; but it still doesn't mean it wouldn't hurt like hell if we were to fall at the final hurdle again; even if it were to be against Bayern or Real Madrid.
