I'm not a member of the legal profession, and would never claim to be an expert on the law, but isn't there something called double jeopardy which stops people being tried twice for the same crime?I may be wrong and hope I am but don't think that can now be done.
I'm not sure if there is a clause in that law that might be applicable here, if there were sufficient evidence to prove that what was tried as a serious assault had become manslaughter. It shouldn't be too difficult for any court to prove that this sad death was directly linked to the original crime.
All we want as footy fans is to go to a game, cheer on our team, then return home safely afterwards. Sadly that was not the case her...RIP mate.
