Used to love that old away end, could make a blinding amount of noise.

Not too sure TBH.

With 3 stands this year, the capacity has been around 12-13k. Away fans have shared a stand and been restricted to around 1100.

Next season will again be 3 stands, as when the current build is finished we are knocking down another stand, again to be rebuilt. I believe the capacity next season will be around £16k.

When all work is finished (season 2016/17) away fans will be given the whole Atyeo stand (approx. 4500), but I'm not sure whether that is the case next season, or whether the stand will again be shared. I'm sure other City fans may have a bit more info.

According to a post on OTIB, it seems that for next season away fans will again be sharing the Atyeo and will be restricted to around 1250

Thanks fella.

1,250 is a little low for a lot of clubs in this league to be honest.

While its a shame we have to have a restricted away capacity in the short term, the long term benefits are for the greater good....

Actually made better by the Rovers shirt, I read somewhere that they went with Rovers because they wanted Danny to seem like the local idiot and therefore had him wear a Rovers shirt and not a City shirt.

Bristol is up there as one of the best away days about. Remember quite a few Reading taking over a Cider Festival before a game a few years back, the City lot took it ever so well. The old away end was a thing of beauty, witness to many great bounces over the years. Kalifa Cisse comes to mind.

Not as good as our 3-2 win there in 2011.2-0 down after 70 minutes and should have been 5 or 6 down we were that poor. Then David James made 2 mistakes and then that goalscoring great Manset backhealed a 90th minute winner.

The 3-3 in 2002 was a good game. The 4-0 stuffering we got in 2001 wasnt. One of the Bristol City players ended up with a broken leg.Cant remember who it was though.

Danny Rodriguez. Loved that 4-0 game, one of the best stand alone performances i've seen from us.

Yeah and we made Scott Murrey look like Messi that day.We never saw the best of him.I think he ended up going back to Bristol City cause he was homesick.

Even Paul Brooker got a look in ahead of Murray. Although, tbf, I liked Murray; shame we never saw the best of him.

You know you are a poor player or a player out of form when Paul Brooker gets in ahead of you.

The 4-0 was my first City game, we were brilliant.
3-3 in 2002 was 2-2 after 20 minutes and 3 penalties were scored, odd game.

I had to leave early for the 2011 game, was 2-1 when I left, 2-2 when I got back to the car and 3-2 just before getting out of the car at the train station, put me in a grumpy mood for the train journey back

3 of my mates left when it was 2-0.They got back to the station and were actually pissed of we won 3-2.One of the blokes left the league cup game at home to Arsenal when we were 4-2 up with a few minutes to go.Later that night he text me to say he was looking forward to the next round not knowing that we had lost 7-5.He didn't find out until he saw it on the news the next day.

We now have 11 fans on here, so if we come up with Bristol City, that's well over 40 members added to this part of the forum!!

Bristol City have 29 fans on here?

Wut

I hope it's Preston and a Sheff Utd, 3 good additions there which would make having last years 3 promoted teams coming straight back down again a bit better.
