Been back up to Liam Roberts and then Lee Burge, and even when Burge got injured we brought in Tom King. I think he has had some personal issues, so maybe a return to his family home in Yorkshire?

Not the same player now, injuries - knees, and so hasn't really fit in with our high energy game. When he gets the ball he shows his obvious quality, but the problem is running to get it. I can see him leaving, mainly because of wages, still has a year left though.

Danny Mayor, James Bolton, Conor Grant and Luke Jephcott all released. Expect to see a fair few clubs linked with all four of these players to be honest. All can certainly do a job in LG1/LG2

Shame to see Mayor go especially but he wants to be closer to his family so who can blame him.

He was certainly one of our higher earners and was reportedly on somewhere around 5k a week. Not sure if this will put a few clubs out of the running to be honest. Stinks of Wrexham, Salford or Stockport for me personally

high wages and (at least if Soccerbase is to be believed) zero goals for you - not a great combination. If he can't cut it at L2 level any more...

It's going to be a busy summer. Bonner has already said there will be major changes after our tough season. Lessons have been learned from board level down to the management team and they are already working hard to put that right for 23/24.

Loans Expiring
Conor McGrangles - What a player he was for us. Once he got fit you can see why Charlton signed him. Composure on the ball, works his socks off and has a good set ball delivery. Would love to sign him permanently but Bonner has already said we have no chance.

Steve Seddon - Thanks but unlikely to return.

Contracts Expiring
GK - Dimi Mitov - He's marmite with our fan base. Some love him, some don't rate him and want to release him. Personally I think he's overated and feel we can do better. Release.
CB - Lloyd Jones - Won all our POTY awards. A top CB and I think he'll be off to one of teams in this league pushing for promotion. Coventry rumoured to be interested. Keep.
CB - Ryan Bennett - tough one as he is getting on but his experience was vital when we signed him in Jan. With Jones off I think we need someone with pace to play alongside Michael Morrison. Release.
CB - Greg Taylor - Club legend with two promotions at the club in the 10 years he's been with us. He will move on to pastures new. Release.
LB - Harrison Dunk - I've written him off more than once but he keeps proving me wrong. It's no coincidence our form improved once he returned from injury. Keep.
RB - George Williams - Lost his place once Liam Bennett returned from his loan at Walsall. Top earner too apparently. He was my POTY last season but Liam Bennett is the future so I wish him well. Release.
CM - Paul Digby - Captain and struggled at times but played in every game and is one of the most underrated destroyers in this league. Keep.
CM - Ben Worman - Sadly not good enough and will get a move in league two or the conference. Release.
CM - Liam O'Neil - He's never fit and not good enough. I wouldn't be surprised if we offer him another year but if we want to kick on he has to be released. Release.
RW - Shilow Tracey - Pompey were after him in Jan apparently so I don't know if that affected him but he's been bloody awful this season and hasn't kicked on. Release.
CAM - Harvey Knibbs - Plymouth offered 200k for him in Jan so I would imagine he'll be off. Keep.
CM - George Thomas - signed from QPR in Jan and showed glimpses of what he can do, including a goal in the huge game away to Accy. Keep.
ST - Sam Smith - 14 goals in a team at the bottom is not to be sniffed at. I think he'll be off to a bigger club. Keep.
ST - Joey Ironside - I love Joey but he has stuggled this season and league two is probably his level. He won't have a problem getting a club. Release.
ST - Fejiri Okenabirhire - You can see he's a really good player but sadly he's made of glass. Release.

Under Contract:

GK - Will Mannion - Happy to have him as back up.
GK - James Holden - I've no idea why we have 3 goalkeepers on our books. I've never seen him play so have no idea what he is like.
RB - Liam Bennett - young player of the year after return from Walsall on loan. Needs to work on his defending but he's going to go higher. Need to sort him a new contract ASAP.
LB - Brandon Haunstrup - Pompey fans seemed to rate him but I think he'll be back up to Dunk next season. Injured most the season.
CB - Zeno Ibsen Rossi - Looked really good when he played but then got injured and out for the season.
CB - Michael Morrison - Top pro and will be first choice next season.
CB - Jubril Okedina - Really struggled in league one so could probably benefit from a move either on loan or permanently.
LW - James Brophy - Really good player, need to extend his contract.
CAM - Jack Lankester - 4 goals and 4 assists this season but needs to add to those tallys.
CM - Adam May - Really important player for us and then done his ACL. Back in October.
CM - Lewis Simper - I get the feeling league one won't be his level and will probably go out on loan.
ST - Saiko Janneh - Looked good and poor. On loan at Wimbledon but no idea how he done. I can see him going by mutual consent.
