As Mr Chipmunx has confirmed, his okay-ish goal return for the season doesn't mask the fact that he did fuck all in most games. Started well in August, but since then it's just been crap passes and being caught on the ball.

Agree with all. Dibble, Pearson, Lawlor, Wright, Young and Oswell already have contracts for next season so they aren't leaving anyway.

Lainton is an absolute must, in either division. Most clean sheets of anyone in the country and best keeper we've had in years. I'd keep Jennings, Kennedy, Smith, Summerfield and Carrington as well. They are very solid players at this level.

If we are still down here then it doesn't need a massive overhaul IMO. If we go up then there's only a few there good enough for L2.

Sheridan has spoken about his desire for a smaller and tight knit squad next season, I think he quoted 22/23 somewhere. If we keep all the players I believe we should do, that gives us 14/15 players so far, giving Sheridan opportunity to bring 8/9 of his own players in which I think will be perfect.

I wouldn’t say it’s been resolved however, the appointment of John Sheridan alongside the fact he’s done so well and been promised he’ll be backed by the owner has definitely eased tensions.

Dave Allen (our owner) knows he won’t be able to sell this club for anywhere near what he wants for it whilst we’re in the non league, so he has absolutely no other option but to back Shez to get us back into the FL. No doubts in my mind that he will back him btw, he’s his man and they’ve worked together before... there’s also no chance Sheridan would have left Carlisle when he did had he not been promised to be backed.

Allen isn't going anywhere unless it's in a box though so the status quo won't change. It's been a while since the last scandal so we're probably due one anyway.

I can't commit to buying a ST when I don't trust the owners to invest my money but have been to a handful of home games this season, which is more than I had done previously.

Omar Holness - keep. former Jamaican international who joined at the end of March. Only played about 5 games but plenty of energy and aggression and a good range of passing.
Mitchell Glover - get rid. Lad has lots of talent and technical ability but unfortunately we're not the right club for a 17yo to grow at. We're stifling his development by not playing him.
Jordan Nicholson - keep. one of the few shining lights in an awful season. A proper number 10 who runs at defenders. Scored some good goals this season.

Forwards
Stephen Thompson - Keep. Just a few goals away from being darlo's all time leading scorer. He's one of the few who the fans still connect with.
Wilson Kneeshaw - Keep. Lots of technical ability. Not a natural goal scorer more of a wide forward but one with potential and good squad player to have.
Harvey Saunders - going. Signed by Fleetwood in January for a fee of around 10k. Electric pace... well yeah he's quick. More of a sprinter than a striker. Wouldn't be taking him back anytime soon.

No hope of keeping any of our loanees. They'll all be wanting to test themselves higher up the leagues. Will Smith and Romal Palmer have been the stand outs. Jake Turner is reportedly out of contract at the end of the season but I expect a FL club will take him in as a No.2.

New team needs building for next season, when we're hoping to be employing a hybrid training model. Compared to this season after our 6-0 home defeat to Stockport the next time the players saw each other was the warm up against York City on the following Saturday. Absolutely not good enough.
