Off to Manchester tomorrow, obviously, on the 9am train. Didn't really enjoy the last time I went there, although that was to South Club which most people say is shit anyway.

Have a choice as I have tickets for both 42s and Sound Control as different groups of mates (football and uni) are going different places. Think both will be decent, with them being Courteeners after-parties so my sort of crowd/music is likely......Leaning towards 42s at the moment as it's a 5 minute walk from our hotel.

Had my last Ocean last night (for anyone who's been to uni in Nottingham), awful place and music but will weirdly miss it.

What's Swindon like for a night out?

I'm going to a gig on a Friday night in November and thinking of staying until Saturday.

Stag do in Newcastle this weekend for me, Fri-Sun.
Have to say, I thought Newcastle was a terrible night out. Not sure whether we caught it on a bad weekend or just completely missed some of the better places but I wasn't impressed.

If it wasn't for the fact it was a stag-do so we had bits and pieces booked during the day, I'd have been even more disappointed I think.

I had one night there a few years back, thought the same. Think I was expecting too much from what everyone said really, but was average.

I don't mind Newcastle, Both times have been after all dayers for Gateshead away though so didn't really care where I went for beer anymore.

Going to Benidorm Tuesday for a Stag do for a week, About 18 of us going I think, Should be decent!

Yeah, places just seemed a little bit backwards and run down. The bars were very samey, seemed a Walkabout type standard and below and we only came across one Club (Digital, I think) but they weren't letting anyone else in at the time we went. Nowhere was overly busy, which is necessarily a bad thing when you're at the bar I suppose.

A couple of the lads wanted a bit of cheesey music so we ended up in a place called Popworld for a bit. That did the trick music wise but as you walked in, the sweat from the place stuck to your face and the windows were dripping.

The women were absolutely plastered in make-up, the lads were orange and were obviously trying to fit into kids clothes they were that tight. All very Geordie Shore.

The only good thing was that your Greggs, Subway, McDonald's were open 24 hours (McDonalds is 24 hours in Lincoln but that's it aside from the normal takeaway's) and there were burger vans and even Indian restaurants open at 3am.

Perhaps slightly biased, and due to familiarity, but Lincoln's a far better night out and actually has something for everyone. I can't imagine students having much fun up there on a night out. It just didn't seem geared up for students as I thought it would.

If you're looking for a deliberately bad night out go to Popworld in Aldershot

Prague was fucking fantastic. What a brilliant place.

rate good innit, although at one point i think we had about 20 african youths following us around trying to get us to go into their strip clubs.

went to a festival couple weeks ago and ive still no idea what ended up in my body, i was suffering for three days after and nearly cried when i lost a game of fifa

Been to Newcastle twice....once for my 21st. First time I went it was class...should have left it there...great place if you're a young lad looking g for a shag.

I also spent over £200 on a strip club for me and my mate...one of my biggest regrets.

Just back from Portugal, had an epic time, one very messy night stood out involving litres upon litres of Sagres and Super Bock beer and too many Hash joints. That plus the 33C heat made for a pretty hideous hangover.

Dying to go back though, awesome country :D

Curious as to how weed is over there. Now that all drugs are decriminalised is it freely available to purchase or do they have coffee shops there?

There is no coffee shops or anything like that, but you can literally smoke it everywhere and the police don't bat an eyelid. Went to some really cool beaches and roof top bars and the smell of weed was everywhere and everyone just had a really chilled out vibe. People try to sell it to you on every street, the hash was really really good, didn't try any weed but will next time. Prices are super cheap too, I recommend it :D

Last night has toppled me over the edge. Time for a detox for a few weeks I think. Spent loads of money, got silly drunk and now I feel awful. A few mad weeks after the end of uni and now I need to try stay alive and become employable so not getting drunk for about a month. Adios fellas.

Student night in Leeds last night minus a lot of students obviiously

Yates £1 a Carlsberg saw Kev very drunk by 11pm, a girl who was sat with us with her mates left her phone on the table, i chased her (not in that way) caught up with her and she ended up buying me a jaegerbomb, my good deed for the day, whilst i was outside chasing down this elusive girl, i stopped off at Subway , tried their new Pulled Pork thing, wasn't impressed, but hey-ho it's all the rage isn't it? so after being robbed for a footlong sandwich which looks suspiciously 10 inch not 12 inch, walked back to Yates, struggled to get back in with one of the doormen claiming i was hammered, probably was, managed to talk him around with my witty charm, drank these crap Apple Sours because the woman holding the shot tray was hot, and i couldn't resist her coming to our table every 10 minutes!

not been out on a Wednesday for ages due to work etc, but what a night, really need to do that again when all the students are back.

Thank you this has been another excursion involving Kev, comment, like , subscribe etc
