from all the bitching of Wolves fans so far about what it could be I've definitely seen worse kits, yes the sponsor part isn't great but overall looks alright.

Eh? I don't think any Wolves fans have 'bitched' about the shirt. Sure I don't like it but bitching, really?

My main issue is with the payday loan sponsor, which goes a little further than liking or disliking a shirt. It destroys the clubs image of being a decent well run family club, which we have worked hard for years to achieve.

Apart from the sponsor on the Wolves shirt, it's very nice. I can more than understand their frustrations, and I imagine that City fans would be putting up the same fight if we were sponsored by some payday loan company.

Barnsley's kit looks good as well, as does Birmingham's. Simplicity at it's finest.

I don't think being disappointed your club has become associated with legal loan sharks or morally corrupt betting firms is sad personally.

Fair on the sponsor perfectly understandable, although unless you know if the club had other offers for sponsorship and what they were I find it hard to criticise. In a day where money means everything to clubs, if you had another sponsor offer but for significantly less its not hard to understand why the club would go for the one who could provide the most money and there by give the club the best chance of succeeding.

I hope I never end up sad enough to give a fuck who sponsors our shirt tbh.

Sorry, but what a fucking ignorant comment that is.

I've had the misfortune of knowing close friends who have been badly affected by pay day loan companies. They pray on vulnerable people in society, and to a devastating effect. This club for as long as I can remember has potrayed itself as a family club (winning the FL family club of the year various times too) a club for the working class and a club for the city of Wolverhampton. When the club then accepts a sponsorship from a company that has indirectly help ruin many peoples lives from the very city they claim to support, then people are rightly going to be outraged.

I sure hope you don't have to experience such problems.

The shirt is growing me a little. On the aesthetics side of the sponsor though, I don't get why the lettering is underlined by a thick yellow line, that well doesn't match with anything. The black lines don't seem to go with the sponsor either. Infact (not even going into the politics side of it) if you took the sponsor off the shirt, I think it would be great.

A world without shirt sponsors would be wonderful wouldn't it?
Like the Leeds kit last year. Cellino's the one to follow after all

They're making a version for the kids shirt where you can buy it without the sponsor, but they don't even fill the pinstripe design in which makes it look even worse. Maybe you could do it yourself with a permanent marker

Is that a joke Mark? Please tell me it is. WTF??
We had a drink on ours a few years ago (Blackthorn) and the kids shirts had the clubs' community trust logo instead. To leave it blank is a shocker!

I wish it was a joke!

Nah, the club's solution to this mess is to release an alternative kit just for kids, where you can chose to have the shirt without the money shop logo on it. Sadly nobody was clever enough to ... ya'know.... fill the lines in ...

If the lines were done properly I think it would be decent, follows a retro design we had in the 70/80's

We've got exactly the same with our kid's kits. With not seeing the official one rolled out he year I don't know but last years was just a black box where Wonga would have been ha!

As you mentioned with aesthetics, I think the logo doesn't 'look' too bad, but then you remember what a god awful company it is.

I'd rather stick with the various brewery's we've had over the years or better yet, bankrupt building societies.

I couldn't spot a logo, who's making that Wigan kit?

That Wolves kit would be really nice without the sponsor/with joined up lines.

Think the Barnsley one is decent, but actually prefer ours, hashtags and all.

On the topic of shirt censoring, on FIFA the shirts for Football League sides don't have the 'Sky Bet' on the sleeve badges, but if the team was sponsored by a betting company, the main sponsor logo was included

I was gonna argue with you but then I saw SERNWA agreed with me and felt deep shame.

Go to court against your sponsors then. Easy.

We're back to a betting firm now as well, on topic. Coincidentally that one that Swansea had - 32Red?

Just when you think your shirt can't get any worse, I think we have outdone ourselves... Our 2016/17 goalkeeper shirt

vrr5z0U.jpg

Kids these days don't know they're born. That's a work of art compared to the keepers kits of the 90s.

Having said that I still love 90s shirts. The more garish the better.
