Imagine being on there with the same facilities, when it was full, most had consumed a few beers and you had just come out of hospital after a bowel operation?
If it wasn't for a very helpful steward, I could have been in some serious trouble!
Absolute shit pit that ground and the town.

Stratton Bank could be a decent away end with a roof on it. Without it though it is shite and the back of the stand resembles more that of a concentration camp, than a football stand

Were quite lucky (unlucky) that we've played in the championship, league 1 & 2 in recent years plus i used to watch Man City in the premier league before they became billionaires so I don't have many new grounds throughout the leagues.

Yep, it wouldn't take much to improve the whole experience of the Stratton bank. A roof and more / better facilities and there wouldn't be much wrong with it although it would still be old fashioned, a bit like a smaller version of our beloved old east end.

There aren't many grounds South of Brum that I haven't done in all leagues - love a rare close away day me.

Not be getting done up anytime soon though will it. They need to sustain a championship position 1st id say

Me - Oooh, a new thread about grounds people haven't been to in league 1, that might be interesting.

Me after reading thread - almost a page of City fans slagging off the county ground and stating how shite Swindon is (it's not great to be fair).

Also the irony hammer has to come crashing down on the City fan who accused our atmosphere of being shite, been to Ashton Gate twice and I've heard better atmosphere in my home toilet whilst having a Tom Kite.

Apparently we're looking at putting a roof on the Stratton Bank.

Not sure about the portaloo issue I'm afraid toilet fans.

In all fairness apart from the Stratton Bank the County Ground isn't bad. The other one behind the goal is a good little stand.

Nowt up with swindons ground i like it anyway. I also liked ashton gate before its started its refurb not been since. The atmosphere was pretty good the other night and isnt too bad normally. Also swindon itself is a decent drink too so i disagree with the bristol city fans on that but your also talking shit that old stand at bristol city was quality great atmosphere from theres and away fans in it.

I like to think at least it has a little character. I love the floodlights as I walk down the hill from old town towards the ground for an evening game, something a bit special about that.

Agree about the old stand at Ashton Gate, great acoustics in that place to be fair.

I think twice out of three times we have played them away have been midweek.

So? Get yourself up there pal. We travelled in numbers the 3 or 4 times we have played them away on a Tuesday night. 66 (SIXTY SIX) last time.

The new one blows it away though. Much as we miss the old east end, it was pretty decrepit. This will become a problem with the town end in time I guess.

3 of our stands could do with replacing. As you say, the Town End is approaching it's use by date!

The one shared with away fans isn't dissimilar to our Dolman stand. The refurbished Dolman might be the way to go with that one. The other 2 are getting to the 'need replacing' stage wtgr.

The only one I won't have done is Rochdale, as I've also already been to Stevenage, Southend, Wycombe and Plymouth from the League Two play-offs.

I was going to go to Rochdale this year as well but I couldn't be bothered when I woke up. Good job I didn't now as at least I've got a new one to go to next year.

The EE will be a great memory, and one that I'm proud to be a part on - but time to move on, and our new stand is looking ace!

No new grounds for me next season so hopefully cup games will be kind. There's only Portsmouth, Cambridge and Newport in league 2 that I need.

For me, all of them bar Colchester and Crewe (and would have been Orient but they have gone down and Bristol City who went up)

As a ST holder living in London, its quite costly to get to the CG with Great Western Trains so tends to rule out most of my away trips, (instead I count my cravat collection) I'll try and get to 2 or 3 a season, perhaps I might go a bit more norvern next season as I quite enjoyed my trip to Crewe

In nearly 50 years of watching the Brewers I've clocked up around 250 to 300 grounds although mostly none league.
Next season though only brings 6 or possibly 7 new grounds.
Preston NE - if they don't go up
Blackpool
Wigan Ath - been to Springfield stadium in FA Trophy
Docaster Rovers - been Belle Vue in the Conference
Colchester Utd - been Layer road in FA Trophy
Walsall - odd as its probably our closest trip
Millwall
I hope to visit all of them this season but going long distance mid week !

Blackpool, Colchester, Millwall, Peterborough and Swindon. Certainly doable.
