Four more drop away as Charlton could only manage a draw at home to Rotherham and Wolves were unable to turn around a first half 2-0 deficit at Bolton. QPR were leading for Third Team Lucky but a Rob Green sending off saw Forest come from behind. Middlesbrough and Cardiff were safe bets for four of the six survivors while the other two only make it through due to Birmingham coming before Blackburn alphabetically.
