Always good when you see stuff like that happen, regardless of the club.

Mind, having Roy Keane as a father in law is a risky business, wouldn’t wanna fuck his daughter around.

I’m pretty sure Quest didn’t either….

Though i wholeheartedly agree Quest was much better at highlights.
Think they did and ITV had some last season but guess there has been a change.

Maybe if he kept his suspiciously looking fancy dress attire on people would think twice.

Any sort of abuse, throwing things on the pitch etc is completely unacceptable no matter who it’s aimed at but at the same time as a example, the abuse Steve Evans received at Field Mill I guarantee is worse than anything McClean got at Birmingham, but nobody gives a fuck about that hahah. Poor Steve.

How is that not falling foul of financial fair play? #BuyingPromotion
Technically a club can issue as many shares as they want. Newcastle recently issued 1 share worth 30 million. I'm pretty sure this is related to the Allyn family investment that was recently announced.

If it is to be spent on the squad to get promotion out of this league then they are wasting 11.3m
They are not fit to go up yet on and off the field.
11.3m will at best get two perhaps three at a push Championship players and pay their wages over three years.
Off the pitch it may get them a new training complex.
They need a new 200m stadium if the owners want to get any further

Don't need to move grounds. That would go against the owners mission statement, unless we outgrow the max capacity of the ground which the owners have said about 36k. A few stands may need to move towards the trainline for that to happen, though.

We don't have a training ground and one of the stands at our ground is temporary. That money isn't going on players.

It will be a start if you get a training ground......Laurel and Hardie will have to decide on a new Stadium going forward
Spending decent money on a temporary stand seems pointless

Maybe better building one new stand at a time starting with that Temporary stand

You concentrate on your club, and we'll do ours.

To be fair this non story applies to anyone they suspect will be particularly abused, it's not specific to him.

But obviously given the amount of thick twats, racists and far right types who reserve their ire for him, fair enough. He winds up all the right people and it certainly adds something to the game!

Not interested in whatever goes on off the field with fans etc. it’s irrelevant and nothing but a distraction to the football, and talking about the football I’ve seen JM play once this year live and once on tv didn’t notice him in either game , overhyped player that’s best days are probably well past him from the little sample I’ve seen, and all the drama he probably thrives off probably plays into his agents favour when negotiating his next contract.

Surely it'd go against him?

"We think he's a passable footballer, but it brings a confected circus we don't want"

I don't think he can bring about more abuse than he gets today. He receives abuse against him and his family every match, all because of his political beliefs. I can't blame him for requesting he doesn't have to endure that every time he walks past opposition knuckleheads.

Most of the stuff aimed at McClean is totally over the top and unnecessary and i dont condone it. He's entitled to his beliefs like anyone else. He's not totally innocent in some cases in that he goads fans just like some other idiot players. Last year at Shrewsbury in the cup early on in the game he started taunting the fans behind the goal for no reason trying to provoke a reaction. Millwall had an FA charge against them for sectarian chanting at McClean at Wigan in 2023, which only resulted in a reprimand and nothing stronger partly due to him again goading the fans (which it says in the official report).

We had Sam Smith at Reading last year running in front of our family stand shushing them randomly, and this season Max Watters was giving it the biggun to the fans behind the goal after he scored for some bizarre reason. Just grow up and get on with the game.

People’s anger at him is misdirected, ie about him not wanting to wear a poppy and his legitimate reasons for that, plus it’s his right not too anyway, it’s nobodies business really.

Now the fact he at the very least sympathises (that’s being kind) with folk who like to blow up innocent people, and think it’s a laugh to dress up in IRA attire in his spare time, well that’s when the sympathy for him being a little bitch crying about getting stick runs out.

I think the Irish connection is overblown , can’t remember who he was playing for at the time think it was wba but his behaviour on the day was atrocious he went looking for it with our fans. Yes some idiots reacted but the bloke can’t help himself, supporters of which ever club he as ever played for are obviously always going to back him but I’m glad he’s nowhere near my team and it’s got absolutely nothing to do with his nationality or beliefs .

Barry Bannan did that at our family stand after scoring. At least he was picking on people his own size i guess..
