We won't make a loss, we can't. Which will mean us being in the bottom three or four for budgets for quite a while (at least until we get relegated). Depressing stuff
How much are you due if Watkins goes for say 70m

Crawley had a fans forum tonight. In light of the losses spoken about above our chairman said we lose about £2 million a year. He didn't go into detail, it may be an operating loss and then transfer fees reduce it but I can't see anyone sustaining that for long.

He went on to say our model of buying overlooked young players and selling them on is the only way we can survive. I do agree but you need to get some physicality too and we have overlooked that part of the data model.

The rest of the forum was yawn inspiring.

Casey .....What are your expectations really???
If i supported Crawley it would be just to stay in the football league period. If you can grow your fanbase and infrastructure year upon year.. See less Chelsea, Arsenal tops worn in your town year upon year i would call that success....Being in lge 1 is not good for teams like Crawley. You cannot sell 15 players like you did this season.
It was a one-off. Teams looked at Crawley players last Summer and thought they could plunder your better players they paid fees for those players. This coming Summer i doubt you will be getting said fees for your players.

Pictures of the design for the new Kop have been published, due to be complete for summer '26.

The design is causing some debates and definitely seems a bit marmite but I love it. Distinctive, with strong local connection, and the actual stand itself pitchside looks great. And being capable of increasing in capacity is important too. Fingers crossed this one actually goes ahead!

Reminds me of the stand at Woking lol
I was going to take umbrage at that, but I can see what you mean- from the pitch side.

It's not quite as bad because our other stands are bigger than Workings. Their big stand is a bit out of scale of the others.

I do like it the more I look at it but I won't be moving from my seat in the Yale Stand. Been in there ever since the Kop closed and I'm not for moving now.

And yours isn't? Might need a more holistic view then
Walk before we can run.

I noticed the tunnel is moving as well (the dugouts are moving to the other side of the pitch come the end of the season) So I'd imagine the Yale where the away fans are staying for now will be the stand that gets a lot of TLC once the kop is built and the training ground sorted.

Hold on....Have you seen your stadium? I'm not sure you're in a position to take the piss.

This is what Wokings stadium looks like

Nice little ground but it has one big stand and three runs of cowsheds. We will at least have three normal sized stands on the other sides of the ground. They are due for upgrades too at some point.

The stand does look impressive but will give that lopsided feel you get at Walsall, Stockport, Woking, Tranmere (and Mansfield but from the side :D)

A stand behind the net with that capacity will look good and imposing still.

Nowt wrong with ours.
Debate has been done to death on our boards, can't really improve it without going to some godawful out of town stadium, so we are all right thanks.
Just let us go down the divisions in peace.

One of my fears has always been ending up in a dinky little out of town Subbuteo stadium like Shrewsbury or....even worse....Chester.

Considering Luton Town have actually hosted Premier League games with their stadium I think all of ours down here are fine.
