That sort of signing is only going to happen if location plays a massive part, a bit like with Aden Flint last summer, but it doesn’t so just a made up rumour.

Do not get me wrong, I am confident JR will back Clough this summer and we will be competitive financially with a lot of teams in L1 but not the ones going for Harris.

Im sure I read somewhere he lives in Leicester so its not much of a commute at all. But as has been mentioned, the financial package would seemingly have to be massive for him to go there. Pretty much guarantees goals though at this level.

He almost joined us at the end of the last summer window so nothing is out of the question.

I hope he's not one we are looking at, I'd like to think we're going to change our strategy a bit and now start to build long term, knowing we're going to be stuck in L1 for a few years.

We need to reduce the age of our strikers group as it is, so signing another 30 year old like JCH on a 3 year deal with a lot of miles on the clock would be very daft.

We will definitely be in the market for a top striker to partner Mullin though.

Mrs Radford looks more and more like a Thunderbirds puppet every time I see her. No wonder she always has her tits out to divert attention from her face

We both need to lower the age overall to be fair, Clough is never going to go for a 19 year old player but low/mid 20s is sort of the age I think and hope we will be looking at.

Sometimes though you should make exceptions, Aden Flint was a sensational signing last summer and Stephen Quinn at 38 got the most open play assist per 90 in the Prem/EFL.

Word on the street is that we will likely release some decent out-of-contract League One performers either today or tomorrow.

Potentially Sean Raggett, Connor Ogilvie, Joe Rafferty and others may be available. All played a big part in our promotion this season and would be very decent acquisitions IMHO.

Our messageboard might whip themselves into a coma if they hear Ogilvie is a free agent.

George Lloyd from Cheltenham and Jai Rowe from Boston are our first rumoured incomings this summer.

I've heard the Lloyd to Shrewsbury rumour. There are definitely clubs interested in him.

I've also heard the main link is Mickey Moore so if he leaves then Lloyd might be a no-go. Personally, I think he ends up at somewhere like Shrewsbury.

Not confirmed yet. However there are strong rumours that Hughes and Mousinho are being pretty ruthless in jettisoning players they think might be exposed in the Championship.

I don't have a problem with it personally as they will stand or fall by their ability to maximise the playing budget and compete next season, and they've definitely earned our trust. However, there will likely be some fan meltdowns over the loss of some of the title-winning heroes.

I'll be very surprised if Ogilvie drops down to League Two though. He's a quality performer at this level (as you well know) and would surely have plenty of suitors. Not a bad position to be in with some of the big new budgets entering League One. The same goes for Raggett and Rafferty.

Oh absolutely, but you try telling a fanbase that there's even a 1% chance that a former terrace favourite could come back and before you know it it'll be a 'done deal' on one of the 50,000 transfer specialist Twitter accounts that turn up in April and disappear before the end of August.

Of course he should get a League One club and anyone would be lucky to have him at this level, but all the time he hasn't signed anywhere you never know. Personally I think Raggett is a more realistic target, especially as he's a Medway boy.

Jackson Smith now rumoured to be coming our way from Walsall. If so, would seem Marosi would be certain to leave which would be a big shame.

Turns out I was wrong about Connor Ogilvie and he has been given a new contract. The out-of-contract leavers are Sean Raggett, Joe Rafferty, Lee Evans, Josh Martin, Matt Macey, Ryan Schofield, Haji Mnoga, Harry Jewitt-White, Liam Vincent and Josh Dockerill.

Marlon Pack has also signed new deal. Joe Morrell and Zak Swanson are in negotiations.

Raggett, Rafferty and Evans and possibly Macey should get decent League One deals, but the others will likely fall down the pyramid.

Raggett is a proper Parky footballer. It would not surprise me if we consider him.

Jon Brady and Nigel Clough were both at our last home game against Wycombe.

This was all pre-promotion!

He’ll be finalizing the retained list now before popping off to Tenerife next week I’m sure, one euro pint of San Miguel in one hand and a eighth of weed in the other.

It’s hard to see if honest, but apart from DKD we were woefully wasteful infront of goal this term despite scoring 90!, we missed some absolute sitters constantly.

He’ll know we won’t get that up here and will need to be more clinical, as conker said though if he’s local and after a decent ish way local like flint, who knows.

There are rumours that we have offered Joe Morrell a new contract but Wrexham have moved in for him. If that's true then I feel it's highly likely he chooses Wrexham. Could be a dream move for him at this time so would be completely understandable, and a cracking signing for Wrexham.

Just rumours at the moment but this one makes a lot of sense.
