According to reports Forest are looking to recall Jorge Grant from his loan here. Not really had a run in the side primarily due to the form of others really, but I really liked him when he did play, had a bit class and skill about him. Would have been good to have him step in when others form inevitably begins to tale off. I guess with Berry back, the need for him is lessened but still a bit of a shame IMO.

As you say the Grant news is not really related to Jones going, Forest won't be happy that he's been a sub for most of the season when they want him getting gametime. With Berry back in the mix and Thorne coming it was only going to get tougher for Grant to get on the pitch.

If Luton want to offer Gomez the manager's job then he won't turn that down in favour of being a coach at Stoke.

Not bad but wasn't starting games nearing the end of his loan as we have better midfielders in Gape and Thompson,as i said before he does score some cracking goals occaisionaly.

After 111 Ethan-free years at Rochdale, two arrived on loan on Friday. Ethan Hamilton from Man U U21 team made his debut at Posh, Ethan Ebanks-Landell from Wolves came on at half-time, in what, despite a defeat, was a much improved performance than the last three (going down 2-1 to a decent Posh team is better than being mullered by Bradford, Donny and Burton).

Just need Keith Hill to realise that Matt Done has, sadly, lost much of his pace. With Kgosi Ntlhe being either excellent or woeful (but never anything in between) we potentially need a new left back. And someone other than Ian Henderson who can score consistently...

One thing is certain this season - we're not going to finish above anyone on goal difference!

Played well for the first half up at Oakwell but faded in the second half and if i recall looked a little unfit. Seems to fit the bill for the type of midfielder that we like, good on the ball. Best mates with Lee as well seemingly too, seemed to get on famously before the game on new years day.

Seems to be the general consensus from Barnsley fans. We've done alright with Barnsley cast offs of late though and we are light in midfield with Grant gone back to Forest. Pretty sure him, Lee, Potts and Pelly Ruddock were all in the same West Ham youth team so hopefully he'll settle well if he does sign.

Moncur is a midfielder I believe and Harford was pretty explicit about bringing in a striker so I would assume there is two coming in if Moncur does join. Although bringing another midfielder in would allow us to play Lee as a striker so who knows?

As Lee is primarily the point of the diamond these days we really only have 3 strikers when all are available anyway (4 if you include Jarvis but I'm not at all convinced that he will ever make the grade here, looks miles off whenever I have seen him). Collins has basically played every minute of every game for months and given the shift he puts in every game would be good to be able to rotate him a bit. Might just be a short term loan anyway to fill in short term? Harford said he hoped to get it done today which didn't happen so I imagine we'll find out tomorrow.
