Tarique Fosu is training with us at the moment. Definitely worth giving him a go and if he does well getting him signed up for next season

We're one of a few clubs supposedly interested in signing Marc Leonard.

No idea what type of midfielder he is tbh.

If we signed another CM, then hopefully it means we'll be binning off Ryan Ledson.

As Eric said, hes absolutely class. I think it would be a really shrewd buy on your part if you are able to get him as he is the most complete player (possibly) I have seen for us. We have had both Matt Crooks and Matt Grimes at Sixfields in recent times who have both had decent careers at Championship level and Leonard is way more complete than both.

He does not get injured which is an absolute rarity for our squad. He wants the ball all the time, can play as a DM/CM or further forward as a 10. Not afraid of a tackle and clearly has a level of self confidence in himself that he knows he is good. Since we started pushing him further forward he has added goals to his repertoire also.

In my mind he is clearly the best midfielder I have seen play for us in the 15 years or so I have been watching us. He absolutely dictates the pace of play for us, dropping deep to take the ball of the defence or just calming the side down when needed. This is despite lacking others with the same ability on the ball and us being not the most free flowing always he still stands out.

Watch him now be rubbish when he goes elsewhere. Honestly I would be staggered if he does not make it easily with the step up to championship level.

Not sure if that is clear enough but safe to say I and the entire fan base hugely rate him.

Similar sort of praise Ben Whiteman was getting from Doncaster fans who has proven to be a good Championship midfielder.

Lots of interest it seems, but if Alan Browne leaves this summer, we can offer him guaranteed football.

Rumour has it that we tried for Leonard last summer. We may have another go this summer if we make it to the Championship though it's more likely a more established Championship club will land him.

Fosu not looking likely now but LuaLua is on the verge of signing. Getting on a bit but I trust Nathan Jones' recruitment so we will see

Luckily Brighton give a big say to where the player wants to go and he chose to come back here. He’s an absolute rolls Royce so you should definitely be after him if you go up.

Why? Seems a bit pointless given you're safe
To be totally honest I'm not 100% sure. I'm guessing it gives Jones the luxury to try out a different formation as we only really had one winger prior to LuaLua. Also, if him and Wickham impress then they'd probably be signed up for next season. Given how late our business has been in the past I don't mind getting a few people in early

Interested to see if any other Jones favourites end up at Charlton over the summer. LuaLua was brought in by Jones and played up top in a 2 for us usually alongside Collins or Hylton.

Yeah he ended up coming on to play in a 2 up top against Fleetwood. I trust Jones' recruitment more than Andy Scott's, so I'm pleased he will be having a big say in our dealings but that being said I ordinarily wouldn't be enthralled with an ageing Greek second tier player lol

Deklan Wynne appears to be training with us, an actual left back!

New Zealand International who has been playing in the US/Canada.

At the fans forum last night, it sounds as though we are going to rolling out the changes regardless of whether we are promoted or not. When asked if any of the players who are out of contract would be offered new deals before the end of the season, Warne answered no.

Louie Sibley, Joe Wildsmith, Tom Barkhuizen, Liam Thompson, Dwight Gayle, Connor Hourihane, Korey Smith, James Collins, Craig Forsyth and Martyn Waghorn are the players in question.

Not to say they wouldn't be at some stage following the end of the season, but doesn't give them much stability past the next 7 (or potentially 10 games). Sibley is still one of our most talented, albeit inconsistent, players and I would be disappointed to see him leave for nothing. Someone would be getting a very good, young player on a free - I suspect there would be plenty of Championship interest. Wildsmith has been very good for us, but could see why we would want to improve in that position, especially if promoted.

The rest I kind of get, as they aren't players who can perform at the level we want to get to. I assume Hourihane is done after this season regardless as he wants to get into coaching and I think has a job waiting for him at Aston Villa.

Plenty of good options there for League One sides though.

We've said similar. No negotiations with out-of-contract players until the end of the season. They've admitted doing that to not upset team spirit.

The OOC current first teamers are Marlon Pack, Joe Morrell, Sean Raggett, Joe Rafferty, Connor Ogilvie and Zak Swanson. I'd expect the only one we maybe wouldn't offer a deal to from that list is Sean Raggett. Good performer at this level but Mousinho has tried to replace him twice only to be thwarted by injury.

Others are Lee Evans, Liam Vincent, Haji Mnoga, Harry Jewitt-White, Josh Martin, Matt Macey, Ryan Schofield and Josh Dockerill. Dockerill may get a deal as he's been out injured all season and they may want to take another look. All the others are unlikely renewals I reckon.

Wouldn't be surprised if Raggett ends up at Colchester next year, assuming they stay up and the Cowleys are still there. Or maybe he'd get a side in L1 as he'd still only be 31. Would be somewhere in the southeast, I expect.

We've been linked with him every window for about a decade - think he was either born in the Medway Towns or played here as a kid, possibly both. Saying that, central defence is probably our strongest area going into next season so maybe the timing still wouldn't be right.

You don't want to be playing Rafferty in the Championship. Horrific.

Rafferty is likely to be backup rather than first team if we go up. If injuries hadn't held him back, young Zak Swanson would possibly have his place by now. He has a much higher ceiling. Maybe our Sporting Director has already earmarked someone else for right back?

I'd be surprised if we don't offer Rafferty a deal though. Like Pack and Morrell he comes under the category of "seasoned pro who has played at Championship level" and his knowledge and personality will be useful even if he didn't quite cut it previously. We may only offer him a year and he decides to try his luck elsewhere, who knows?

Connor Ogilvie is also untested at Championship level so it will be interesting to see how he copes. Both Ogilvie and Rafferty have been key parts of a fairly miserly defence this season, but obviously there's a bit of a difference between playing Carlisle and facing one of the parachute boys like Leeds or Leicester on a regular basis.

One thing's for sure though, going on this season Mousinho is very quick to identify and sideline players who aren't up to it. He's been pretty ruthless.

Looks like Man Utd want Baylee Dipepa according to Alan Nixon. Quite a week for him scoring 3 in 3 for England U17s and then for us Friday. and now linked with a club like them. United apparently keen to do business, just as well we now have him on a 2 year pro deal so should be a nice earner for us if it happens.

Had to laugh at the article saying they were on the look for the next Mbappe. Way to put pressure on some of these kids rather than let them develop.

Caldwell has confirmed that Hartridge is leaving in the summer, so expect him to rock up at Rovers with Taylor, no doubt.

Lasse Sorenson is attracting interesting from the Championship according to Sky Sports. We've got an option on his contract so it'll take a decent fee to get him out of here.

Can't remember whether he's on 8 goals and 6 assists or the other way round but he's been very consistent this season considering he's not really a wingback or fullback.

I think we've got four or five players who'll attract some serious interest this summer.

He’s been a great servant and it was a classy move to give him the armband yesterday for what’s probably his last game for the club. Good player, and if he ironed out some occasional mistakes, he could be a very good defender at this level. As you say, I can see Taylor being in for him.

Caldwell also confirmed that Mo Eisa won’t be making his loan permanent here. Sounds like he has other options lined up and, to be honest, he’s not done anywhere near enough to warrant us trying to sign him permanently.

Articles praising our youth set up, one of the few positive legacys under Flickers.

Lucky Dipepa is signed up so we can command a good fee.

Left footed, ball playing CB.. it’s what everyone wants isn’t it?

Give him proper game time and if he can do what we know he can do, he’ll be class for you guys. Certainly has potential to play at high end L1 or even bottom half Champ… in my opinion anyway

And if? There doubts about MT already?

Cheers for the info. Definitely sounds like an improvement over the disappointing Wilson.

Yes MT has slowly made us worse than Bartons reign (albeit we have been poor all season). Strange subs often made by MT, he said he joined because of the squad he had to work with and now just moans about them.
Barton had us playing decent football with large % of possession but did f.all with it. MT is a lot more direct and we now only have 1 man to score goals. He cant even get Jevani Brown on song the rare occasions he does play him.
Quite happy to see what MT can do with his own players although pressure will be on him from Day 1 next season and if he doesnt start well then he wont last long

Random one we’ve signed a left back called Deklan Wynne who has been playing in the US (though he is from NZ). Definitely one of the weakest areas of our team but strange to have left it this late to address it. Guess announcing it now means he might feature in the squad tonight.
