Rob Street, Lincoln fans, any good? Heard we might have got him on loan from you
From the L2 forum a couple of weeks back when Grimsby mentioned they might be in for him.

He's not really been involved in many of our squads really, probably 6th choice attacking player, which for a side who score about one goal a game isn't a glowing endorsement I know!

Street has hardly been near the squad for most of this season so far, but we gave him a four-year deal in the summer so we obviously see him a long term project. I'm not sure I've even seen him play yet but by all accounts he's looked absolutely stinking in some of his appearances (one of which was against you in the BSM Trophy).

Speaking of Lincoln rumours about Draper doing the rounds again at the game today. This might be wishful thinking but it doesn't seem to be going away.

On Loan keeper Zach Hemming has been recalled by Middlesborough, he had a really poor start for us and made mistakes leading to goals and costing us points in and around our first 5 games of the season.

Once Josh Keeley replaced him (who is a better player) Hemming never got back into the team.

Wellens has said he expects a few players to come in, but not until its confirmed that our remaining 5 loan players are staying and he confirmed after yesterdays game that we wants to keep all 5.

Caleb Taylor has been recalled by West Brom, so that's us looking for a new CB.

We do already have cover in that position so it's not an immediate concern, but the remaining options aren't as good.

Good news for the chasing pack, less so for us.

Talking of loans I'd like to go back to the max 3 loans per club.
The fact you can play almost half a team full of someones else's players in every game, some even changing league sides in January, makes a mockery out of football for me.
Wont change though as its all done to help the big clubs who stockpile the youngsters, much like the BSM trophy

Interesting snippet on L1 budgets this season from our CEO this afternoon.

Our budget ended up 12th in L1 last season. Due to the influx of money from the promoted and relegated sides, to maintain a 12th placed budget this season we'd have to increase it by 68% and now have a bottom quartile one.

Lucky escape for us? He would have to be bad to not improve our defence tho
No there is great potential , he just needs consistency and isn’t going to get it at Huddersfield because he’s not consistent enough to be played every week yet.

He was mentioned on our forum but didnt seem Huddersfield fans were too impressed with him. Probably best for him working his way up from L2 anyway.

There is a thread on our forum on him and for some he’s rubbish but for others they realise there is potential just as it stands very little consistency. Time will tell but for me he can be excellent on his day just needs more days.

We've signed Ben Radcliffe from Derby, although he's been on loan this season at Gateshead.

We’ve signed Liam Shaw from Fleetwood after triggering his release clause. Never heard of him but he’s billed as an energetic box to box midfielder so a boost for tomorrow if he’s available.

Think we’re trying to be active early which is a nice change.

Couple of bits of news for us today.

Darikwa signed in the summer on a one-year deal but that's been extended by another year with a club option for a further year. Been excellent for us this season, probably Player of the Season so far.

Rob Street has gone to Doncaster on loan for the second half of the season. We're all still none the wiser on him because it's lucky he even makes the squad, never mind gets minutes. Think he had a bad injury at Cheltenham so has hardly played in 2024 really.

Street did actually score a great goal against us for Shrewsbury. Absolutely had Quansah on toast who is now playing for Liverpool

Cameron Bragg has had his loan from Southampton to Crawley terminated.

Every time I saw him I thought he was a decent player but the managers (Lindsey and Elliot) didn't seem to agree.

Can’t imagine why

Liam Shaw is a good player who can play as central midfielder or in a middle of back 3 (I guess He didn't play in that role for some time).

He is a 6'3'' lad with very good technique and is a good finisher.

Good player and good lad who needs some consistency and faith shown in him.

Fingers cross that He can step up in "Mark Lenard role" and do similarly good for You.

He was part of first team at Wednesday and was desperate to stay at S6. He asked from Wednesday 1/3'th of what Celtic offered him, but "gift from heaven" that is our owner offered him whatever academy kids were getting paid at the time (rumors said 200 or 300 a week).

Hi Liam

He and Ozase were offered record deals for their age at the club.
