Who’s Mitchell?

If we signed Ali & Romaine Sawyers then I’d be pretty content with that January business tbh.

If we took Colwill on loan as well then I’d be pretty impressed. Hopefully a CB / RB in there too
Demitri Mitchell.

Joe Ward from Derby is one doing the rounds now, previously at Peterborough.
Can't believe he's only 29, seems a lifetime ago that we had him on loan from Brighton. He was an out and out winger here but pretty sure he's spent the last few years as a wing back.

Well we don’t do wingers so be for wing back, where we seem sorted to be honest so bit of a weird one.

We should be focusing on a creative midfielder and a striker, but we do need to shift a few first.

We've just signed Romaine Sawyers. Free agent but played for Wimbledon over Xmas. Not sure what he is like now. But was good a few seasons ago at WBA.

Some time ago now but he was different class here for us in League one.

in the "well that's a bit random" dept, we've been linked with Danish CB Anders Hagelskjær (the journos will enjoy spell-checking that one) who plays for Molde in the Norwegian top flight.

Apparently we're paying 500k EUR for this guy. For a defender? Jaysus, he'd better be good at that price.

Looks like the permanent signing of Joe Taylor from Luton is all but done! Much needed fire power up top!

Been confirmed that Crawley have sold Jay Williams to MK Dons. That's 2 left from the starting line up at Wembley. I wonder why we are struggling?

It will be interesting to see if he plays in their first game. He has not been seen playing for us for a few weeks due to injury or disciplinary problems.

Seems to be a case of us moving pieces around at the minute, presumably ahead of some incomings in the second half of January.

JJ McKiernan sounds like he's on his way to Burton on loan for the remainder of the season.

Oisin Gallagher has been recalled from his loan at Peterborough Sports and gone straight to Boston so that's a step up for him. We've had him back from loan and playing in our BSM Trophy game this season.

We've recalled Zak Jeacock from his loan at Southend because our number one has a shoulder injury but Southend are hopeful of having him back soon, so either the Wickens injury isn't that bad or we'll look at bringing in a loan 'keeper.

Bristol Post reporting that Joel Colwill will be coming to us on loan rather than Rovers.

Would link it but the website is awful

Our journo confirms it as Exeter as well.

Good player - deserves the step up a level. Will have games where he's quiet, or try too much, but you can't knock his ability. Lad is class.

Please can we borrow somebody’s transfer rumours so we have something to talk about on our message board?

Jordan Rossiter loaned out from Shrewsbury to Oldham. Must be freeing up space in the squad, unless Carlisle are sending back Harrison Biggins

Deal confirmed pleased with this one . We were after Joe in the summer and the one position that was most in need of improvement .

£3m is pretty mental money for him.

Your Board are probably looking at it as though it'll be £3m well spent if he gets you promoted but I'd question whether his all round play is anywhere near Championship standard (probably shown by Luton not playing him despite their position) so at this stage it feels like an expensive signing for potentially a very good L1 player if that makes sense?

Excellent finisher, mind. Loves a 'dink' over the 'keeper (took him about 5 one-on-ones with us to realise you can't shot through a body!) and his pace is something else once he gets going. I think he's probably the quickest and fastest player I've ever seen in person.

Amazing how transfer fees get blown up , the 3million has come from where ? I’m sure we’ve spent good money and deffo for league one but we do average double what most clubs in this division average like Lincoln and we did sell Rudoni to Coventry in the summer for supposedly 5 to 6 million so we should be fishing in a decent pond.

I also think Luton didn’t play him because the system they play doesn’t suit his style time will tell but one things for sure I’m bloody delighted we’ve got him as I’m sure Lincoln would be if they could afford him.

It’s a deal potentially worth 3 million, promotion, goals etc, hopefully we end up paying every penny. Looking at bringing in a couple more also apparently.

Reliable itk poster on datm, bblueterrier. Below is what he posted…..

The Taylor fee is not close to the 3m quoted upfront. As mentioned by others the total package has numerous add ons they key one being promotion. He is a talented forward as long as we keep him focussed on football & injury free. He has previous of disciplinary issues at his other clubs -he's very much aware of his ability & not afraid to communicate as such. I believe Edwards & JT didn't quite see eye to eye on a few things. Credit to KN for the financial backing - funds are available for the 'right players' expect atleast 2 more incomings this window. UTT

Disappointed to see Taylor go and a bit frustrating we couldn’t bring through a clearly talented player.

As has been mentioned there’s a mixture of his skill set not really matching how we play as he isn’t big enough, and I think his attitude. Not sure what happened, rumours of a fallout with Edwards but also with some players like Doughty too.

The only really extended playtime he got for us was the payoff final and he took his penalty very well there which shows what his confidence is like, not sure a bit part 19 year old striker is sticking there hand up for a penalty in that situation normally. For that reason I wish him well.

Not for one minute do I not believe forums have itk posters but I avoid datm too many argumentative imbeciles and WUMs. Fair enough though I’d of thought from original estimates that the deal was closer to 2 with some major add ons that won’t be reached for a long time if it’s 3 .
