It was a weird one because he was supposed to come to us (again on loan) the season before that, then Man U bolloxed the loan deal at a late stage leaving us high and dry - then eventually he did sign the following season, only to get broken early doors - he made a massive 2 starts for us.

Good ball playing defender, needs someone with a more physical presence alongside him IMO. He got bullied in a few games we played against Steve Evans Stevenage side.

Don't think he's good enough for Brighton, but suited to playing in Leagues One and Two and still developing. Left footed primarily but more than capable of using his right aswell. Covered at left back for us once or twice as too.

I think he is still getting to grips with L1. He seems to be our main attacking threat but has only started getting a decent run of games with the Calderon in charge. Has had 2 goals unfairly chalked off as well including a beauty at Cambridge. He does seem very lightweight and gets muscled off the ball a lot so needs to bulk up a bit.

I just can’t imagine how you’re facing relegation if this is the level of recruitment.

Ed Turns signs for an undisclosed fee from Brighton. 2.5 year deal. Seems like a good signing from what I can tell…Happy with that.

And earlier this evening we also signed Halifax forward Andrew Oluwabori for another undisclosed fee and another 2.5 year deal. Probably more of a long term plan for him as two divisions is a big jump but he looks to be quick and direct.

We also seem to be close on Angus MacDonald from Aberdeen who would add real experience to the back line, so hopefully we won’t be anywhere near as vulnerable.

But it seems like we won’t be getting an out and out number 9 which is disappointing. Seems like Oluwabori may be deployed through the middle so who knows, he may be good.

Either way, some solid additions in the last week or so. We now need to start to improve massively on the pitch!
