Losing our player of the season is very standard Mansfield injury related behaviour, I expect nothing less.

Signed Sam Cosgrove.

Hopefully Wootton doesn't get injured, christ.

Anthony Forde leaves us by mutual consent. Very decent wingback on his day but injuries and personal stuff has meant he's barely played in 18 months for us.

Signed Ramarni Edmonds-Green on a two and a half year deal from Charlton, a bit suprised we've decided to bring a CB in pernamently but in the long term its probably the right decision to save hassle in the summer further down the line.

Don't think he's got as much game time at Charlton as he would want, we always take Charltons cast offs - We can just pay fees for them now ;)

Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu signed on loan from Luton, but sign of the winger/striker we were promised.

Crawley sign Liam Fraser. A Canadian midfielder fro FC Dallas. Played in the MLS and Belgium second division.

Never heard of him.

The excellently-named Fin Back joins at RB from Nottingham Forest.

EDIT: oh shit, he’s had most of his pro experience on loan at BELEAGUERED Carlisle United.

No sign of Angus MacDonald despite it being a ‘done deal’ according to the chap who first said we were in for Ed Turns. Aberdeen did terminate his contract earlier, so I guess we can still sign him later this week as a free agent. Hope we get him.

Our forward line is a worry. We have an abundance of wingers and ‘10s’ but felt we needed another central striker. Magennis has done ok but he really needs some help up top.

Overall a solid window with much more activity than we expected. Still think the Alli deal was very good from our side, despite him being on great form of late.
Hopefully we can improve drastically now we have some reinforcements. Time will tell.

Edit, looks like we’re about to announce another player. Presume it’s MacDonald.

Not sure midfield was where we really needed strengthening if I'm honest but Moxon is a good player. We have some good options in there with him, Bate, Norwood, Camps, Collar and Bailey.

Cosgrove looks like he's in just to take the pressure of Wootton having to more or less play every 90 minutes. I get that one even though Barnsley fans seem delighted he's gone.

If I had to have a bet, I'd say we're probably going to be short of the play-offs and not sure we have the goals and creativity in the side without Barry. We won't be pushovers for the rest of the season though as our solid current run shows. Can see us grinding out enough wins for us to look possible play-offs but just fall short and almost certainly not good enough to win them if we do get in there.

Ed Turns. Any good, Orient fans?

I liked him. Good on the ball and can use both feet. Probably hNever going to crack the top two divisions due to his lack of physical traits, but put him alongside a behemoth and he’ll do a job.

Curious. Him Vs Ward on fighting for first team then
Think Jed may go back to FGR, probably had to recall in case we couldn't get another GK. I believe the National leagues deadline to sign players is March. Partick Thistle fans seem to love this lad

Thanks. Maybe MacDonald is that behemoth, because it's not Hartridge.

On paper our defence is looking half decent, just need them to gel and not to pick up any more injuries.

Disappointed not to have signed a proper striker, lots riding on Magennis for the rest of the season

Strange transfer window with Evatt leaving and appointing the new guy only 3 days before it ended. No signings for Schumacher unless you count Etete but he seemed to be on the radar from Evatt's time. He had a terrible debut giving away a needless handball penalty, Scott Arfield and Randell Williams have also left which most people will be pleased about, particularly Arfield who must rank as one of the poorest signings for us ever. There was a decent player somewhere with Williams who went to Orient but he never really got going under the suppressive Evatt, had a couple of games when he sparkled

Jones has made it clear he doesn't like to bring in loans as he'd prefer to develop his own players so it was a big u turn yesterday as we signed 2 on loan and tried to bring in another. Alex Gilbert from Middlesborough seems like a promising signing and we've been crying out for a cam. Tom Mcintyre was brought in which allowed REG to go to Orient. Even if he hasn't been playing this season, he still offered depth and signing a loan player to do the same thing whilst strengthening the side keeping us out the top 6 atm seems bonkers. We failed to get a deal done for Jewison Bennette on loan from Sunderland on time which is gutting as we desperately need cover on the wing

Confirmed that we turned down a £1million bid for one of our players - Martin Ling didn't name he player or club, but we all know it was Swansea coming in for Ethan Galbraith.

We have a 12 month extension option on his contract which we have confimed that w will take up anyway.

Cracking player who was always going to go higher, will go in the summer hopefully for more money.

oh yeah, we can be grateful that we didn't sell Kone this window, squillion pound bid or not, but he's nailed on to go in the summer (contracted till the end of 2026) - he's already turned down a contract extension with us.

Even if we got promoted (and it's still a big if) then I'm sure there'd be plenty of Championship clubs with better prospects than us that would be interested.
