Fordes ended up at Burton, alongside our other ex Wrexham lads JJ and Dad Bod

All good players. Bod was decent in the times I saw him and he's doing the business for them.

Crawley have signed free agent Louie Watson. 23 year old midfielder. Released by Luton in the summer. Played 27 times for Charlton. 18 month contract. Available to play tomorrow at Blackpool.

He was a neat and tidy midfield player but just much too lightweight. In a balanced midfield with some players who will do the dirty work alongside him imagine he could be a really good metronomic type midfield player.

We don't have trouble keeping the ball. We have trouble because we are too lightweight. Let's add another one.

Definition of madness. Keep doing the same things and expect a different result!

Jack Stretton, released by us in January, joins Burton

I always thought there was a neat little striker there but had a horrendous time with injuries. Hope he does well there

Strange move. But it might come off if he has got over his injury prone past. Might feature tomorrow given we are light upfront.
We do love a gamble.

Stockport County.
He's a good finisher Stretton, overall game not all there but the ACL he got 2 years ago set him back and he's never got going since. He had two loan spells in the National League this season with Woking and Oldham, I was disappointed he seemed to barely make an impact at either. Think he probably needs a settled home. Don't know if Burton will be that as looks like a short term deal and League One possibly a division too high for him. I wish him well.

We have signed Scott Malone.

Obviously need some cover with Andrew out and Gibbons (also not his position) suspended.

Pretty damning for Manny Longelo.

We've loaned Tyler Walker to Wealdstone for the rest of the season.
Scored and assisted on his debut on Saturday

I've tried to reply to this a few times.

Scott played for us at your place earlier in the season. His contract was terminated by Crawley with no explanation. Cue the usual rumours but nothing has ever come out as to the real reason (one rumour was he was banned for 18 months for betting irregularities which is obviously wrong now).

He is a left back. We played him on the right wing because...because.

He is married to a girl who grew up round the corner from our stadium.

Yeah he's seemed surprisingly sharp for a player who'd barely played, and seems to have been a useful addition. Not that it means much.

He's strange in a way positionally, he doesn't seem to get forwards (like a wing back would) but always seems to end up in the box.

Ho hum, more grist for the mystery of Crawley off the field mill!
