I just hope the team are as tinpot as the fan apathy suggests.

Rumour has it that Bradford have only sold 700 or so tickets for their game in Cleethorpes tomorrow. Can a Bradford fan confirm or rubbish that?

Probably about correct. People protesting against the ownership aren’t likely to go to many away games tbh, they’ve sucked the life out of the club and still a few will defend them.

What exactly are Bradford fans protesting? Having inept owners? That's not protesting, that's just not being arsed to go support your club when the chips are down. Blackpool fans protesting against the Oystons, Chester against Vaughan, etc. is protesting.

Unless I'm missing something Bradford fans are just a bit sick of being crap? It's fair enough by the way, this kind of incompetence grinds you down, I get it. A key part of it is taking us from 5th in League 1 when we were bought to where we are now, a bigger drop than any club currently still in the football league. He let his business partner destroy us by not really giving a crap until he realised it would start to affect his finances. Then promises were made that it would be better, we were subsequently relegated and have spent 5 years regressing further. Then a young lad from the media department was made CEO, who was probably on around £30k a year, what other business does that happen in? He then told the young CEO that the strategy was to survive and not go bust. Zero investment in the name of sustainability, something that he has now backtracked on due to the protests and boycotts of season ticket sales. No communication, when there were promises of transparency is another one of the false promises. Wanting £10 million for a club he bought for £6 million that he regressed and has no interest in is another issue. A big reason for the protests is to try force his hand and hope that he’ll lower his demands. We have no assets, the valuation will never be met and the guy has zero interest in football and us as a club as long as he doesn’t lose money. Our protests are probably more like Coventry and Charltons than Blackpool’s who was obviously unique due to who their owner was. The fans bought a club record number of season tickets for this level for the past 4 years and still the issues continue to rise, I can’t think of any club that wouldn’t have had enough by now.

We have sold out Notts County (or at least what we were given which I think was 1,050). Only 170 tickets allocated to buy on the day left apparently (assuming we won’t be given anymore?) so probably somewhere between 1,200 and 1,300 MK Dons fans at Meadow Lane for what is a fairly local game for us this season at 80 miles.

If you shifted them quickly you would have been given more allocation, not bad though given your average is less than 500, but in your position, well ?

I’ve missed some out no doubt, it gets boring repeating yourself though, that’s not aimed at anyone asking on here I know they won’t understand, but people go round in circles on Bantam Talk and it gets said nearly every day atm. Ultimately of course if we were top of the league there wouldn’t be protests, but then we wouldn’t be a shambles either so they go hand in hand.

Really good read those articles, cheers for sharing. Already knew a bit about Sparks but other than seeing the name Rupp, I wasn't really sure who he is.

My point though is probably more to do with whether you should be protesting against ineptitude. It's a matter of personal preference but unless there's a nefarious agenda deliberately bringing the club down I find it hard to see it as a legitimate protest when you can voice opinions in other ways and still go to matches. We were in the second tier when our old chairman, John Fenty, first weedled his way onto our board and when he left we were about to drop down to the fifth tier for a second time so we know all about this level of incompetence. I don't really think there's too much shame in saying that people just don't want to go watch Bradford in their current state.
