Can we keep all willy waving to away attendances only, as per the thread title. Home attendances are overrated anyway...
Are away fans always housed where the Crawley fans were nowadays at Oldham?

I like it that our home attendances aren’t that great as it means we’re usually top of the home % taken away table. :bdick:

You'll probably wish you had a terraced away end then as you might find yourself a few seats missing come 5pm.
Might already be a few missing as I hear the Vale fans took a few home last season as souvenirs.

Shame for you lot that they weren't satisfied with some seashells, candy floss and a fridge magnet as a memento of their day by the sea. :lac:

To be fair to Yeovil fans, it's probably a couple of extra hours from Nottingham to Grimsby.

280+ miles from Yeovil to Grimsby. Just over 5 hours on a good day but Carl Dickinson said it took the squad 9 hours to get there for this game.

Yeah i heard that. From what i understand they travelled up on the friday and stayed over. One of my (few:woot:) mates who lives in Rotherham went to Cleethorpes for the day on the friday and he said there was an incident on the motorway around South Yorkshire that held them up for ages so that may have contributed to the long journey for the lads on friday.

Either way it's a ball ache to get to from Yeovil as it is.

Cambridge had sold 550 pre game so don't think they will have sold many more.
Exeter, given it was first away I expect it was closer to 300

Been allocated 1190 for Grimsby in a few weeks time, with an additional 500 if required. Curious to see how many we take there, and I’d imagine our results in the next 2 home games will sway numbers. Win them both and we might well sell it out.

I will be shocked if we take anything over 700. Grimsby is not the easiest place to get to. 3 hours on the train.

The club didnt bother with a reminder to season ticket holders to buy a ticket cos presumably we've sold about 250 so far. That'll increase & if we win on Saturday a few more might think about it.

Anything more than 700 is a good turnout in my opinion.

It did not look like 1,000 Cambridge fans on the TV. The away end was a lot fuller for our match there on the opening day.

Not been mentioned on our board anywhere and can’t find anything on either website. I’ll buy a programme at some point this season, that’ll clear it up.

But they are right - 1,000 is way too generous. We’d sold 550 in advance so would guess at 750?

Me and two others going. Wouldn’t have gone if it was say Scunthorpe as have been there before but Grimsby is a new one for us. Imagine it could be a new one for a few but yes, it’s further from Oldham than you think so upwards of 700 would be decent. Win on Sat and could reach 1k but who knows.

Unless you’re looking like selling 4,000+ like Bolton did a few seasons back.

Must admit, my Geography is getting shown up since I’ve been in L2 as I didn’t realise how far away Grimsby was.

TBF though, we took almost 1k to Scunthorpe last s season despite it being a pretty meaningless game, and with it being somewhere we’ve visited many times in recent years. We haven’t played Grimsby for quite some time now and could potentially be going there on the back of WDWWW form.

Wouldn’t like to call how many it’ll be actually.
