I have a done a table based on mileage travelled and taking into account night matches.

The figures produced correspond to travelling 150 miles on a Saturday afternoon or 100 miles for an evening game. The figures quoted are not an average but a median which even outs the unusually numbers that can be created by selling all tickets at small away grounds.

I think this gives a more accurate ranking for willy waving.

Sold over 300 so far for Port Vale. We'd be shifting more if the away form was better, with some saving up for Lincoln the following week.
Yeah, we were thinking of going to Vale,I’ve only been once,a 6-0 thrashing in the cup years ago.
But when Lincoln came out of the hat,it was a no brainier to go there.
A bit closer, loads of great boozers & we’ve got a pretty decent record there.

Aye same here, Lincoln next week looks a much better prospect, still think we'll take about 500-600 tomorrow.

2. No word on the attendance front - think we had somewhere around 180-200 there. Sure Bottega Don will post the figures from their next programme.

Probably be a lot less there today with the train cancellations after the horrific storm last night.

Scunthorpe: Pre-sold just over 1,700, + pay on the day - but no official figure (yet).

Has there been a table of averages posted at all this season in here?
here you are Son, I am not saying they are 100% accurate but give a good indication that Grimsby are taking more to away games in Conference than half the tin pot teams in League Two.

is there anything to be said for factoring in where each away day ranks for each team in terms of distance?

e.g. if one club's nearest away day is 150miles away they'll take loads more for that distance than a team who has 10 nearer away days that are closer than that.

For me the best measure on quality of away support would be Home V Away attendance, for example Bradford taking 400 is less impressive than Crawley taking 400 for instance.

But here in the pub league some of the tinpotters have such restricted numbers for away fans it’s not truly representative.

When we only get 700 from Bristol Rovers . . .

Sold out our 600 allocation for Harrogate in a couple of weeks. Would have taken thousands if it wasn’t for those tinpot away ends.

Firthy_BCAFC How many have you allocated Harrogate on boxing day? Cannot see it stated anywhere.

Not sure!

I imagine it’ll be two blocks - circa 1,200ish. Overflow of 1,500 if required, which is unlikely.

We’re aiming to beat our Division 4 record attendance (17,974) for this fixture, so more the merrier (pardon the pun).

Why you ask?

Ta.

Because between the w@nkers at WYP, Calderdale Council and Halifax AFC, we've been allocated a maximum allocation of 1200 for a fixture already moved to 12:30. I see Blackpool have been allocated 2366 at Huddersfield and the game is a 3pm kick off. It's an absolute disgrace. I'm guessing WYP feel like they'll be stretched that day and have decided to pick on us.

I wouldn’t have thought there would be any bovver between us and the mighty Harrogate, but there could be 20,000 there. I’m guessing they’ll be 22,000 at Huddersfield and Fax will pull some decent numbers, too - I don’t think it’s all down to away opposition/numbers.

That being said, 1,200 at Fax is a shite allocation. Sure we took over 4,500 there in 2014, so they are ‘good for it’.
