Find it unlikely to see them share the away end at County so give us the lot to boost our average thanks. Not that we need it.

I agree it’s unlikely, suspect you’ll get the 2,800 that Grimsby got.

I don't think they will split the stand at all.

Tbh I hope they give more than 2,800 as Mansfield always sell out for their trip to Nottingham even when they only regularly got 3000-3500 for home games.

We used to give them 4000 odd back in the day but times have changed for both clubs, which is a big positive.

Even with early kick off, and now announced as on TV which never helps attendances it will be another bumper total gate guaranteed as the home figures so far this season show.

Think that would be the sensible option, used to love being in the stand behind the goal.

Back then we’d take so many to county as so many weren’t going to the stags due to the ex chairman, so it was a cracking chance to go without giving him virtually any money.

Our average away is also inflated due to who we’ve played, give us some grim away dump down south and that’ll change - colchester and gillingham come after accrington so there we are…

A tremendous effort from Grimbo, a great atmosphere in the stadium and entertaining high scoring game.

What's not to like?

Take more to Meadow Lane than you did to Field Mill the very next week. This happened on more than one occasion.

When did Lord Haslam finally sell up and leave? The locals protested by not turning up for about a decade :shifty:

Sadly it's impossible to reverse Conks, it's not just your Big Day Out its THE ultimate Big Day Out and has been for a long long time. None of this of course will be new to you being a seasoned Stag.

Don't be disappointed but it maybe tough for you to spot Mr Hardy with so many spectators in attendance, especially as he will be fully dressed.
Yes but most of them will still be dribbling piss

No no señor, times have most definitely changed. It's a whole new world home and away at Notts now. We haven't dug any of the old fans up that's for sure
Heard that thats why they felt the compulsion to go to mansfield to spray abuse on a wall my god are none of us safe from this new generation of thugs

We have got a rival it just so happens that they are a lot lot better than us and have been for nearly 30 years. It's in the history books gents.

You guys are lucky that you support a shit lower league club that popped into NL to get #stained a little while back and the club just across the border they you have so much hatred for are also shit lower league club who are currently #stained , so you get to play them often.

So jealous.

Almost annoyed we have been up and down the divisions during our long history....... almost.

I was. The difference being you don't need an extra stand last time I checked? Although that away end could do with a lick of paint or a complete rebuild.

I always thought Blundell Park was bigger than 9000 when I've visited as an away fan or a guest of then Chairman Mr Fenty. It appears not.
That explains a lot

But the problem being is even your main rival doesn’t consider you your main rival - forest would look at county a bit like how either of us would view a hucknall town

Well obviously Adam that comes with the territory. They are a stones throw away they have to be the rival.

They view us like Notts fans in the 70s, 80s and 90s likely viewed Mansfield.

Exactly, but as anyone under 40 wouldn’t remember anything of the sort it’s why they all view mansfield as their big game now, which is understandable.

Still great support down at MK today!!

Exactly, it's very much age dependent with about 40 being the split.

I'm over 40 and it's definitely a big game to me but I and my mates don't view it as a rivalry because we watched Notts in the 80s and 90s when Forest were the closer rival, rather than Mansfield.

Great support indeed, I'm looking forward to it. Has that big game feel.

I personally wish all fans who are on the road supporting their team have great days out no matter how big or small their following is.

It would be rude not to :£but even our large and always impressive stadium for this level doesn't accommodate 5,000 visiting fans. Will be interesting to see how many they actually allow especially now the home support is currently booming at Meadow Lane home and away.

Does that mean you’ll actually sell out at your local away day 19 miles from you this season?

Looking at the away followings this season I'd say it's a nailed on cert Richard.

Whoever goes is going to be in for a shock when they see the other two stands at Field Mill full.

Well that's never happened before, or even close.

Fantastic support and noise from the Mariners, as ever.

Always a cracking atmosphere when they are in town.
Just a shame a load of our dick heads were there looking for trouble after the game, for once the massive Police overkill was actually needed, my car was parked around a 20 minute walk from the ground and it was kicking off around us for the whole of that walk.
