Today's attendance is 6,861 with 2,376 from @officialgtfc. Thank you for your support.
Fair enough - must've allowed a few pay on the day then.
Best of the day by some margin is it not?

Well over 50% of our last home turnout. Like I said our home support is poor. The Pontoon should be full every home game - it only holds 1800.

Didn't look 4.6k home fans though, but it's a big stadium so hard to tell...
I asked this question last year, but why do Notts County get such a poor home turnout? Makes it look even worse in such a big stadium.

If your team had a 'massive' club who have won European cup twice only a couple of hundred yards away, your crowds would be low.

Because we're the second club in a relatively small city who've had one good season in the last like fifteen.

There are plenty of Notts fans who just don't go anymore. Mixture of price, time, people who hate the chairmen, manager, players etc. When Notts play well our crowds jump pretty significantly, like our last promotion. We just haven't been successful much in the last 25 years

Our illustrious neighbours get far more casual support than we do

Have you always averaged that number of home fans? Maybe I expected you to be higher because the level of spending, infrastructure etc.

Not always, but over the last decade or two we have. Both clubs were far closer in terms of success, crowds etc until Clough, I think, which I suppose makes sense.

We've still got a decent enough potential support - we were getting five figures a lot of the time when we won League Two last time, but any success has been so short lived recently that we can't sustain it.

Did anybody mention there were 2376 Grimsby fans at Notts County on Saturday?

We've sold 2100 odd for Blackpool so far, still a week to go. Are we as big as GY now? :bdick:

I would think so. Both journeys are circa 2 hours each way, though I think the Grimsby - Notts trip is slightly longer and yours is also an easier one.

bigger...especially with home support.
Our home support is shit. We should average 6k this season, but it will be 5k. Clubs like Donny, Rovrum and Chesterfield didn't use to have equal or better home gates than us (- in the 70s)

Decent game, draw fair result, we just about edged it in possession, shots etc. Big John on fire - even tried a bicycle kick. Ended up in the back of the stand but at least he tried.

I was one of only 96 Stanley at Notts County - I think our fans are all thinking of West Ham away coming up not many I know went today.

653 Donny at Morecambe. Decent effort, it's further than I thought.

I see the dot has been deleted. Stifling of the creative arts again. I particularly like Eton Rifles' works...

Vyner been any good for you?

After a bit of a shaky start in the 1st half of his first game for us his confidence has grown a lot since. It will be interesting to see how he does V Pompey this weekend :-)
