Grimsby away sold out (1,200).

Took longer than expected, tbh.

Can any Notts fans recommend where is best to park for away fans please?
Typed it into Google and it brings up 4 different car parks but I’m not gonna do the one that it says is opposite the ground as I’d expect that that one will be rammed and a pain in the arse to get out of after the game.
Cheers.

Always park near cricket ground. A few minutes walk but very easy to get out after the match ( if you are heading A52. & onto A46)

I shall refer you to my previous post in this thread.

Besides - it's fucking Grimsby (well, Cleethorpes, but the point stands).
I don't really think 140 vs 110 really makes that much difference tbh. We'd have had 1000+ at yours, especially after a first day win. We don't get 7x the crowds you do. Some fan bases are just more passionate, that's the way it is

As for your hackneyed derision, Grimsby (well,.Cleethorpes).is one of the best away days in the division, especially early or late season. What's not ro like?

Is that a car park or general street parking?

Just park in the big multi-storey at the station, five minute walk and think it’s three quid if you get there after six. There is the odd bit of free street parking you can find if you’re that bothered and reasonably early.

I actually meant the post about our away support being shit, but you can keep crying about it if you like.

Here's a thing - I don't care about our home or away attendance. In League 2 it really is bald men fighting over a comb bullshit. Wow - you get more people watching your team than we do ours. That's stood you in great stead over the last 18 years when Grimsby have finished above Cheltenham in the League a grand total of once.

It was I who posted about your away support being shite, it was!

You not caring makes no difference to the fact so few came to support your club.

Oh no!! Whatever shall we do.

Alert the elders - only 110 people turned up to Blundell Park to cheer on Cheltenham Town. It's a travesty I tell you, a travesty!!

I never get the willy waving and derision over away attendances in lower league football, we all know it’s a mental illness following lower league clubs, well done to those who did go

It's just weird. But if it helps people sleep at night, then more power to them I suppose.

To be fair I have always considered better away support to be based on % of home support. If you have say 10,000 fans you should average higher than a club that gets 3000 so basing it pound for pound would be a better metric on how good the away support is.

A team that gets 3000 but averages 500 away means 1 in 6 fans travel away thats surely better than a team with 10k averaging 1k away which is 1 in 10.

If you don’t like willy waving about away attendances, yet feel the need to comment on someone criticising a poor following for your club, maybe leave this thread out of your headspace.

Just a friendly suggestion, each to their own etc etc.

Any Vale fans know how many we’ve sold for Barrow? Would expect 700 plus.

People always tell us we actually have 2,000-3,000 home fans (or none at all) so the circa 500 we took to Colchester would put us right towards the top of that pound for pound list then…:2thumb:

Tickets for Bradford away go on sale tomorrow. Initial allocation of 1,167 in the Bradford Lifts stand, with another 1,539 to follow for the TD Dallas. Should be a decent following for this one after two long treks at the start of the season.

Reckon you’ll sell them?

Given our recent history, I can see this one being quite tasty - on and off the pitch!

Only a handful of seats left for Bromley away next week. Terrace already sold out.

If Crewe are selling out your away end, for a game 4 hours away whilst being bottom of the league, your facilities are obviously not up to football league standards and you should be immediately relegated.

On the contrary, following your home town club home and away and standing with your mates is far more rationale and healthy than sitting on a sofa and screaming at a TV screen watching a billionaires plaything named after a place youve no connection with whatsoever.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I just don't understand the need for the willy-waving, as DearneValleyRover so eloquently put it, and subsequent criticism of clubs who don't have as large a support.

Watching the Notts game on Sky and there look a lot of empty seats in the away end.

Fully expect the initial allocation to go quickly - possibly even tomorrow. Think we'll be asking for the TD Dallas allocation before the end of the season ticket priority window. Wouldn't be surprised to see us sellout altogether, like you say there's a bit of needle developed about this one. Our first 'local' (for us) trip of the season, and most of our other 'short' trips suffer from low allocations.
