The thing is if Crewe hadn't won on Saturday then the 1200 sold prior to there home game would probably have been what they would have brought. These extras have now decided they want go due to the latest win so sending tickets at this stage is abit late really compared to Walsall selling there allocation and getting there extra 500 tickets 3 weeks before the actual game.

There's also the problem that only 4500 were at our last Tuesday night home game against Colchester so vale don't really know if there's going be a good amount of home fans there. Loads tend to not bother with the night games and it's on sky too so even with a few of them deciding to go I can't see anymore than 5500 home fans there spread across 4 stands meaning Crewe will out sing us and that crap football in a library song will be sung at 8.01pm.
No chance, we will get 6000 plus easily for this, we had a decent amount for a Carabao and the fact its top v second and a fairly local game will see demand from us for that.

Expect an 7500-8000ish crowd total.

The extra 200 tickets Vale sent us to take us upto 1800 pretty much sold out in a couple of hours. More being sent tommorow by Vale.

There's a good chance the vale game will be off anyway. Made the mistake of not having the covers on so pitch is covered in snow. Then got 4 days of minus 2 or minus 3 temperatures meaning the snow will turn to ice then rain over the weekend so I'm expecting waterlogged pitch postponement.

Pitch should be fine now, they have improved the drainage since the pitch was ruined in the first season in L1.

Absolutely no chance of it being off. No temperatures below -2 after Friday, and they're up to 11-12 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.

The Colchester fans will be pleased to know, itbwont be £28 a ticket for you guys just before Xmas. Weve slashed ticket prices for that game to £10 a ticket, in hope of a big gate before Christmas. It worked last year with over 7000 home fans vs Barrow. Also your fans won't be in the normal away stand as we are opening that for home fans and will instead be behind the goal.

Is there an echo in here?
The are certainly more posts about a Vale v Crewe game than I've ever seen. If the current form book carries on for the rest of the season will be like Stockport and Wrexham in the NL 3 years back...? Crewelad87 will have to do a lot posting mind...and probably hire the plane and fly it over Vale Park when they win the title mind. Artell tells us everyone associated with Crewe has to multi task...

Yep we're averaging about 6000 this season so like several clubs in the division yesterday (including Notts) we saw around 1000 less at our match. Not that surprising given our horrendous home form, the match being an early Sky kickoff and the weather.

For someone that has such an odd fixation on our home attendances, the surprising factor is that you don't seem to he aware that sub-5000 crowds at BP aren't a freak occurrence. The attendance last time Colchester were in town was even lower than yesterday for example.

Those perks sky kick offs certainly are annoying. My apologise I was just surprised it was sub 5K especially when you are in such a lofty position. Didn't realise it wasn't unusual at BP.

Was the attendance the last time Colchester in town even lower than yesterday? I have it as 5,010 but happy to be corrected.

Thanks Moonie for the confirmation. Under 5000 just didn't seem right.
Loads of empty seats with reserved on them in the Main Stand opposite us.

Good results away just not cutting it anymore - - that's 7 straight defeats at home including the cup. Driving cold rain, early ko and on live on tv - I still did the 180 mile round trip but the home fan number was about 500 below ST number so probably 1000+ didn't leave their sofas

How many do you think were at ML?
