From what I saw last season, and what I've heard about new signings.

Gk. Tyler (Luton)

RB. Ribeiro (Exeter)
Cb. Dembele (Barnet)
Cb. Mark Roberts (Cambridge)
Lb. Jacobsen (Wycombe)

Rm. Roberts (Portsmouth) - not sure of his best position
Cm. Berry (Cambridge)
Cm. Lines/Roofe (Gas/Oxford)
Lm. Bennett (Portsmouth)

St. Craig mckail smith (Luton) - if it happens
St. Reuben Reid (Plymouth)

Thought Tubbs is a better goal scorer but Reid can always create something, great technically and physically.

These things are best being done without the relegated and promoted teams players involved for obvious reasons.

If you don't have Roy Carroll as your starting goalkeeper, you are 100% doing it wrong.

Despite the fact you've probably not watched him in the last year.

Formation: 3-5-2 / 5-3-2
GK Carroll (Notts County)

RWB Christian Ribeiro (Exeter)
CB Leon Legge (Cambridge)
CB Bira Dembele (Barnet)
CB Scott Cuthbert (Luton)
LWB Patrick Brough (Carlisle)

DM Chris Lines (Bristol Rovers)
CM Luke Berry (Cambridge)
CM Kemar Roofe (Oxford)

CF Matt Tubbs (Portsmouth)
CF Jamie Cureton (Dagenham)

Subs:
GK Luke McCormick
CB Curtis Nelson (Plymouth)
CM Danny Green (Luton)
RW Gary Roberts (Portsmouth)
AM Ryan Donaldson (Cambridge)
CF Charlie Wyke (Carlisle)
CF Marc Richards (Northampton)

I've probably been a bit biased with the inclusion of 2 Carlisle players in the squad, but I think this team would be nigh on unstoppable in League 2.

Notts County fans rate Carroll highly, and he wouldn't look out of place in League 1. The 3 central defenders are solid, and the wing backs are useful in defence and attack.

The 3 central midfielders would contribute plenty of goals, whilst adding an element of creativity in providing for the forwards. The 2 strikers were the top scorers in the league last season, and would probably score a combined 30-40 goals.

Wyke wouldn't get anywhere near the team in fairness. Brough, on the other hand, could be awesome this season if we play a suitable formation so I can understand that one.

He's by far the best RM in the league but are you seriously suggesting that Donaldson has been awful his whole Cambridge career, bar maybe the 5 games he's played 'in the hole', and another handful in central midfield? Didn't he also play predominately wide for Gateshead too. Pretty sure someone even asked him what position he felt more comfortable in and his answer was out wide.

Yeah that was a bit excessive to be fair, he's always been alright there just not always quite right. In context of the "best right winger in the league" it's still not something I'm going to accept, as he just isn't one. Still class mind, and top bloke too.

I do bloody love Donaldo. I just want to see him do what he does best, and that doesn't completely work with how we play, and it's irritating having one of your best players as a luxury round peg.

Actual lol at nobody but one choosing Dean Cox.

100% the best winger in this division, and ridiculous he chose to stay with us.

To be honest I'd actually forgotten he was at Orient really, I just assumed he'd left after relegation for some reason.

Absolutely correct though, he should be in everyone's team.

Reuben Reid in most teams is a surprise, but maybe thats because he's never looked good against us.

I agree for what it's worth. Very good player. How much are you paying him to stay?

If the rumours are believed he's still on a £5k per week contract. I can understand why people wouldn't have Cox, how many Accrington fans for example would ever have seen him play - and why should they? He was one of the best players in League One, he should eat up League Two for breakfast... As should Jobi McAnuff, but we shall see on that one.

Reuben Reid is a weird one. I was at Dagenham v Plymouth a few years ago, he scored a rebound goal from a Hourihane free kick, but his overall play was awful I thought; at one point he was played through and literally fell over the ball. Seen him a few times since and I've been equally as unimpressed with him. Yet he's scoring for fun almost, I feel I only ever catch him on a bad day.

Cox would have been in my team if I remembered he was still at Orient. How the fuck is he still there?

Tyler is better than Carroll. And how have I come to this absurd conclusion, the typical Notts Co fan will ask? Easy. I have never seen Tyler do this -

PS - Also, can SOME people please stop including 3 or more players of their own team, as it's very irritating? For example, the Barnet fan above who has included 3 Barnet players in the league's best XI. Keep in mind that Barnet were a non-league side last year. Much appreciated! TA!

The rules were maximum of three so I fail to see the problem if a Barnet fan chooses three players, two of which have also appeared in other people's choices and the third was England C player of the year.

It's ok, we're back to being the underdogs again... Some of our team will surprise a lot of this league.

England C player of the year. :fish:
I personally wouldn't make him part of a dream team because of it but it's hardly a crime for a fan to choose a player whose has been consistently good for us and recognised as a decent player at conference level.

More than decent, he's had plenty of interest and was chosen as one of the best, most consistent performers in non-league last year. He wouldn't be on my team personally but it's not so strange to see him listed by others. He's a damn good player.

Yep, Good enough for Barnsley to offer £250k and have it rejected

Including the England C player of the year isn't as big lols as Charlie Wyke though. Only belongs in a dream team resulting from eating too much cheese the night before.

I'll have the last 'lols' when big Charlie finishes top scorer this season :fing:

Wyke > Akinfenwa
Wyke > Ibrahimovic

Possibly. A quick search shows that he scored 2 in 17 appearances for Wimbledon in the 2013/14 season (a goal every 8.5 games). Last season, he scored 10 in 29 starts for Hartlepool and Carlisle (a goal every 2.9 games).

With a bit more creativity this season, I think he can improve further and, as you say, he puts in a shift every game.

He's definitely got goals in him - take his ratio last season up to a 46-game season and that's already about 15 goals. Then account for the fact that he'll now be playing in a better side - can't do much worse than spells at Hartlepool and Carlisle last season - and most likely alongside Ibehre, and I don't think it's unfair of him to have set a target of 20 goals.
