I see saint Cowley was sent off. He’s just Steve Evans -40 stone
4th time now since returning to the efl but only 3 count as one was in the checkatrade v Mansfield ;).
Seriously they both need to calm down a bit, I like their passion and commitment but they go too far sometimes.
It was our throw but just let go, not worth it.

Imagine if he had to coach the enigma that is James Norwood. He’d have a heart attack.

Moment yesterday where he did a maradonna turn past 3 Bury players at speed and the whole ground just went silent wondering how that happened, 30 seconds later boots over the bar from 8 yards.

It wasn't a throw-in, it was a foul that wasn't given deep into injury time, which Newport then attacked from.

David Imp is the one that needs telling then, I was replying to what he said.

I'm not sure where I stand on the touchline antics of the Crowleys, as it works both ways I guess. I'm sure the Lincoln fans like the bros going gaga as it shows passion, and that they're fully immersed in the job they're paid to do (though heaven knows what the little Crowley's job actually is :animatedf:) On the other hand, the match officials do, most likely, not listen to a single word that comes out of their mouths - this is only a natural reaction that one is apt to do when coming across people who contest every single little thing.

But sent off for contesting a throw in*? Like, really?

*Sorry Luke, but David was first so I'm going with his version of events ;)

So we have now played everyone in the division. I haven't been to all the games, but of the ones I have been to I would say the following:
Best - Lincoln, followed by Forest Green
Worst - Notts County.
Looking forward to starting the second set of 23 fixtures.

Special mention for Yeovil, who I thought were the best counter-attacking side we've faced this season.

I’d say the best I’ve seen was Exeter. Lincoln and mk were both decent sides.

Whereas they’re crap in general, I was impressed with Macclesfield 2nd half against us, played decent stuff and won the half.

The worst - Northampton, by a mile. But I appreciate they were terrible and sacked the manager the game after, notts were bad also, but that’s expected

Best - Lincoln. They properly schooled us at Whaddon Road.
Worst - Northampton. By a country mile, although as AdamStag says that was before Dean Austin was sacked.

Hard to pick out a best team that I've actually seen, since we've been so poor at home that everyone looks like Barcelona and we're yet to face the top two at home. I did see us play Lincoln on I-follow but they weren't that great on the day. Tranmere I'd say, of the many teams who have beaten us easily, did the most to earn it. From listening on the radio, Exeter also sounded very good.

Worst, possibly Yeovil, and yet they beat us. Colchesters performance last weekend was the only one that really compares, which is all the stranger given how good they've been in general.

Best: MK Dons overall. Efficient and played some good stuff.

Worst: Yeovil by some distance, literally played six defenders yet scored three and missed a few good chances too!

Worst I’ve seen is Notts County and by quite a distance, we took the piss when we played them.

As for the best, well I’ve only been to about 8 games this season so far but Oldham were all over us in the first half last week, albeit we were woeful too... I thought Carlisle were a tidy side too in their 1-0 victory at Gigg Lane in September.

Best I’ve seen is probably Mansfield, we were poor but it was a travesty they only beat us 2-1. Next is Oldham, who easily outplayed us.

Worst must be Notts County, we also played poor and still managed to win 4-0. Port Vale weren’t great either.

Best I’ve seen is FGR opening day, absolutely took the piss out of us. I know Mansfield could’ve had a cricket score against us if it wasn’t for McKeown but I wasn’t there.
Worst I’ve seen definitely Notts County, not their overall play but just their defending was atrocious.

Best were MK by a mile.

Worst County or Swindon, although we're yet to see a fair few of the lower half sides at SB yet.

From the teams I've seen, I thought Northampton were probably the best. Macclesfield's first half display was probably the worst but they were improved after half-time.

Defending away from home doesn’t count.

The best side I’ve seen: Tranmere.

Crewe for us on Boxing Day. A repeat scoreline of last seasons scoreline would be appreciated!

Only seen us at so far at home but aiming to do a few aways in the new year.
Best so far tough one as we've only lost once in the league at home so technically Crawley but honourable mentions to mkd, Newport, Carlisle and for being a bit jammy Mansfield ;)!
Worst 3 spring to mind
Morecambe, Notts County and Swindon Town

I always think this is the most likely result for most, given how many times you see your own side.
It's unfair to judge the worst side on 1, maybe 2 viewings. But for the purposes of this thread -
Worst - Notts County, had absolutely nothing to show at our place. I'm a little surprised, although I couldn't understand the number of people tipping them for promotion, I didn't expect them deep in the stinky brown stuff.
Best - nobody has really stood out. Carlisle attacked with real pace and purpose at ours. Grimsby gave us a real going over at theirs, despite the result.

I've missed quite a few of our games but the best team I've seen would probably be MK Dons. Honourable mentions to Bury and Northampton who also made light work of thrashing us. Worst would naturally be ourselves, so far this season the Northampton 'performance' was probably the low point.

I missed the homes games against Lincoln and Mansfield, who were felt to be the best sides visiting. Of those promotion contenders seen, Colchester probably the best, though they set up very negatively on the trip to Birkenhead.

Worst sides is a hard call. Cheltenham and Macclesfield offered little going forward but have changed managers since. Despite the hammering Crawley looked as though they had some decent players but like Rovers set up too adventurously away from home.

Mansfield still the best side I’ve seen. Played us when we were really in form and it was a cracking game, that ended 0-0 :dk:

Our board and Darren Way met with supporter's groups a couple weeks back, the minutes makes for some 'interesting' reading.

http://www.ciderspace.co.uk/ASP/features/blog.asp?BlogId=802

Personal highlights for me being;

"Mr Fry (our chairman) repeated that he didn’t have to come here every day and if people wanted him to leave, he would do so today. Brendon Owen (head of the supporters Trust) then formally invited him to leave."

And this insight from Way;

"When asked why he had announced that the Club was going for a top 7 finish this season, Mr Way said it had been said to encourage the players. Asked what the aim was now, he said staying up. He then reminded everyone that he had saved the Club from relegation for the last three seasons. He said he was a hero. He said that he could walk into any other club and that he would not be at Yeovil for ever and when he left he would be missed. He stated that the fans knew nothing about football."

Best I have seen at PP is Mansfield back in August in a 0-0 draw.

Worst was Cheltenham a week earlier we beat them 1-0 but should of been a lot more.
